"Bellamy? Bellamy! HEY Bellamy! Monty shouted" Bellamy snaps out of a daze maybe half asleep. And finds himself sitting on the beach. Monty is running towards him,
"You've gotta -- someone's out there! The current! Someone's" he says
Bellamy gets to his feet, as disoriented as he is "what"
"Someone's out there" And Bellamy is instantly alert. Because Monty is gesturing towards the ocean
But Bellamy is already scanning the water in the dawn light. And goddamit...
There is someone out there. Really fucking far out. out an arm frantically waving for help as...
instinct takes over and Bellamy is adrenaline kicks pulling off his shirt as he sprints for the water and he... dives in
As Bellamy's arms cut through the water his face emerging every ten strokes to take a gaping breath. a fucking machine as he powers towards
the person off in the distance struggling to keep their head above water but still so Far away  with every stroke his purpose singular and he's closing that distance, but  The victim disappears under the surface of the water. Bellamy takes a deep breath and dives underneath the surface after them
And we wait. And wait....
Then bellamy emerges, gasping for air! But alone. He takes another ragged breath as he
Dives under again. And this time we sit on the surface even longer. How can anyone hold their breath this long? And just when we're counting Bellamy explodes to the surface! And this time, he's got someone with him. We recognize the victim instantly
It's Finn. coughing up water. gasping for air. But ALIVE.
Bellamy: "Deep breaths c'mon, man relax you're okay deep breaths..."
And as bellamy wraps him into a cross chest carry and begins to swim back to shore, Finn Completely spent. But his lips are moving trying to say something. Too weak. But he wills himself to do it. And finally "did you get her?"
Bellamy was confused "what"
Finn: " The woman... out there... I was trying to... Did you get her?"
WHAT?! And Bellamy instantly turns back away from the shore, threads water with one arm, holds Finn afloat with the other  Bellamy panicked handheld scanning the ocean from side to side How could he not seen...?
And OH SHIT! Because there another hundred yards out is a woman. And she is about to go under.
Here's Boone. Exhausted. A sack of rocks in Jack's arm. And there's the woman. About to dip below the surface. And so far away we can't even make out her face.
As Bellamy heroically pulls Finn out of the shallows and to the safety of the beach.
The other turn up and splash into the water, wrapping their arms around Finn
And as soon as they relieve Bellamy of the burden, he is already turning back towards the ocean
And time resumes as Bellamy dives back in Arms, legs, heart, mind... all furiously dedicated to saving that woman.. He's Swimming out into the ocean. through an endless expanse of BLUE. but it's painfully obvious to us... There's no one left to save.
Finn His brown eyes unblinking as they stare out towards the ocean. He's still shirtless. Barefoot. And the intensity in his eyes. If we had to guess at what he's feeling right now, we'd have to go with ANGER. No sense of how long he's been sitting here...
But it's been awhile.
And now Finns gaze floats elsewhere on the beach. Off in the distance. Onto Bellamy. Walking towards the infirmary tent.
Octavia moves to catch up with Her brother, concern in her eyes. Because now that we're closer, we can clearly see Bellamy has seen better days. And because he is who he is, beating himself up for the life he didn't save. "Hey" Octavia shouts getting Bellamy's attention, he quickly turns to look at her "who was she?" He ask Octavia takes a second before answering him "her name was Monroe She wasn't supposed to be on the plane. She went scuba diving off the Barrier reef and got an ear infection. Doctor grounded her two days, so she bumped her flight. Ended up with us." Bellamy shakes his head. Hard to stomach the brutal irony before saying "She was swimming this morning. Just swimming. Riptide caught her. We've been here eight days and we never talked. I never said a word to her."
"you tried" Octavia tells him. He finally stops walking and turns to look at his sister for the first time "No. I didn't. I thought maybe I could... I thought I could bring him back and still have time. I was there in the water...  I didn't try. I decided not to go  after her."
Octavia doesn't know what to say to that, but then it happens
Bellamy goes white looking past her, way past her, he's looking at a girl far in the distance to far away to make out her face, she just sanding there staring at Bellamy and it's fucking creepy
"Bellamy" Octavia shouts his attentions the drawer back to Octavia "are you okay?"
But Bellamy is already looking back to see the woman moving towards her, but in fact there is no one there "can you see that" he asked his sister "see what?" She replies
"She was standing right there" he says pointing to where the woman was standing
He turns back to her. desperate. Needing her to tell him he's not going fucking nuts. Needing her to tell him she saw the same thing he did.
Octavia: "Bellamy..." and her face says it all
Bellamy: "you dint see her"
Octavia starts to get worried "when was the last time you slept?"
But Bellamy isn't in the mood for tenderness right now. And he sure as shit isn't answering that question, either. So he just walks off and Octavia just watches him.
There's a new feeling amount the castaways today, they have all heard about the woman who drowned but none of them ate actually talking about it since no one really knew her. The flip-flops stop. "have you got it?" as we pan up we see the flip-flops belong to Charlotte. "you're in my light sticks" Murphy says sitting on a makeshift deck chair, he doesn't even loo p a he reads a battered paperback Charlotte snaps back "light sticks? what the hell is that supports to mean" Murphy turns a page. this is a different side of him less directly adversarial with charlotte it might be because she's just a kid. he looks at her before asking "how's your brother? she looks at him confused "what do you mean?" Murphy puts down his book for the first time "you're brother the guys your always with?"
Charlotte looks at him confused before realising he's talking about Finn
"oh you mean Finn? He's not my brother he's just been looking after me"
Murphy doesn't have anything else to say to the girl so he just picks up his book and starts reading. "Look as much as I love my new nickname I can't be arsed for this, so ha e you got my stuff or not?!" Charlotte shouts
Murphy: "Calm down I got your stuff" And with that, he produces a can of bug spray from the canvas bag at his feet as Charlotte Sanches it and walks off.
Octavia is with jasper in his hut and he's felling quite better now since the accident and it's time for him to get up and start to move around more according to Clarke so Octavia thought she would help buy taking him out of camp but not no far, jasper was completely fine walking around on the beach but once they hit the forest he stopped to scared to talk another step, Octavia tries to edge him on but it's no use he won't so they just say there for a while staring out into the forest but after about 5 minute she's had enough so she grapes Jasper by the arm and drags him out there he's scared at first but he starts to calm down the further they go, Octavia finally leaves go of Jaspers arm and he just stands there thinking of going back but he doesn't he keeps walking with her when suddenly he tripes over a branch falling to the ground he's fine, but Octavia goes to help him up when she notices he's staring at something and he looks terrified she follows his gaze on to 3 fingers scattered on the floor she jumps pulling Jasper up at the same time. Octavia just can't take her eyes off it but she slowly walking backwards when the back of her foot hits something, it's a knife she picked it up before before her and Jasper go running back to camp to tell the others what they have found.
Back at camp Raven has been with Finn all day worried after what happened to him this morning but he's fine, the most Raven has done today was go and get some fruit for them to eat
They were both sitting in the hut peacefully when they suddenly seen Jasper and Octavia running out of the jungle the first person Octavia went to was Raven her and jasper called Raven to the side away from Finn and explained what happened and showed her the knife Raven examined it for a moment before saying "it wasn't one of the grounders that killed wells, it was one of us"
Octavia, Raven, Jasper, Clarke, Bellamy and Monty gathered in Ravens tent to go through what happened, Clarke had the Knife at this point and they dint know what to do when out of no here Clarke spotted something carved into the knife it was a name "Murphy"
Clarke looked up at the others "I know who killed wells" they were all confused then Monty spoke up "how" Clarke smiles then shows then the name carved into the knife, Once Raven seen the name she stormed out of the tent straight over to Murphy hut ( she may of not known wells that well but she really hates Murphy) as soon as she makes it to his hut she pushes him, he stumbles a little the but before he could say anything she was hitting him she's starts screaming at him "I know what you did" as she goes to hit home again but Octavia stopes her by grabbing her arm, by now there's already a crowned of survivors surrounding them, Finn. Shouts out from the Crowd "what the hell did he do" but before Clarke could say anything Bellamy speaks up telling everyone he killed wells in cold blood. And this was a bad idea because no one really like him a couple of guys come out from the rowdy  and start kicking and hitting him before picking him up and trying a rope around his neck that they found then chucking it over the closest tree ready to hang him Clarke and the other try and stop when someone starts chanting "what ever the hell we want" everyone joins in. Charlotte is there watching the whole thing not knowing what to do and hiding behind Finn, at this point Murphy is ready to be hung blood dripping down his face his left eyes swollen and his noise and mouth bleeding, all someone needed to do was kick the stole kind of then he was standing on from underneath him
Murphy was pleading "please Bellamy I didn't do it" while shaking his head but Bellamy doesn't take any notice and kicks it from under his feet, he's there struggling slowly getting weaker and weaker when Charlotte runs out from behind Finn shouting "STOP! Murphy dint kill wells, i did!"
The gang were back in Ravens tent with Charlotte trying to think of what to do with her because Murphy is pissed, Finn was the only one who had an idea and it was to take her out into the jungle but what the other dint know was that Finn knew of this underground bunker that he found when he snuck out one night. No one else had an idea so they went with Finns him and Clarke will take her out there, it was them two because Raven was needed at camp, Bellamy wouldn't leave Octavia go and as for Monty and Jasper they dint want to go. They could hear Murphy getting closer to the tent "come out Charlotte,we don't want to hurt you" as Murphy opens the cover in to Ravens hut she was gone, he grasped Raven as she was the closest to him "where the hell is she!" Bellamy pushed him off her and just ignored him. Murphy couldn't be arsed for this so him and his little group set out in to the jungle to find her,
Meanwhile Finn, Clarke and Charlotte were walking further out Finn leading them to the bundled that they still don't know about when Charlotte grabs Clarke's hand she snatched her hand back and shouts at her "what the hell do you think your doing" Finn shapes his head back " Clarke calm down she's just a kid" Clarke looked back at Charlotte "you killed someone, do you realise what you've done, you took his life away" Charlotte just looks down to the ground when they they can suddenly hear Murphy voice not fat from them "Charlotte, we just want to talk" they go to run but Finn stops then and looks down then pulling up a door that was covered in leaves gesturing to the girls to go down there.
Once they were all down there, they put Charlotte to bed and soon after they fell asleep but not for long because Finn walk up with Charlotte gone! He quickly wakes Clarke up and tells her, they both leave the bunker only to hear Charlotte shouting "Murphy I'm over here", so they run follow the sound they finally reach her before Murphy does with no time to talk Clarke grabs her by her arm and runs with Murphy and his gang not far behind them when suddenly they reach the end of a cliff no where to go, then Murphy catches up to them, Charlotte goes to walk to Murphy but Finn stops her putting her behind him, Murphy quick grabbing Clarke putting a knife to her through "No, please. Please don't hurt her." Charlotte yells
"Don't hurt her? Okay, I'll make you a deal. You come with me right now, I will let her go." "Don't do it Charlotte" Clarke says but she still tries to go but Finn won't let her "No! No, I have to!" She shout still trying to get to him "Murphy, this is not happening." Finn says then Charlotte speaks up "I can't let any of you get hurt anymore. Not because of me. Not after what I did." She quickly turn and jumps off the cliff falling to her death as she jumps Both Clarke and Finn run to the Cliff "Charlotte! No! No, no, no! No!" Clarke shouts while crying staring down into mist not being able to see the bottomed the cliff, Finn gets up and attacks Murphy "Finn stop, you'll kill him!" Finn looks at Clarke then back at Murphy "he deserves to die!"
Clarke: "No we don't decide who lives and dies"
Finn let's go at Murphy but he not letting him off that easy
Finn: "then he's banished"
They all agree but just before they leave Clarke chucks Murphy his knife leaving him on his own hoping the other on the island will find him and kill him.
