My sister squeals every other minute, only taking breaks to shout at me during the morning of the ball. I get a headache almost instantly and crave being covered in the blanket of lavender in Harry's garden.
"Come on, do my hair now so your scrawny arms don't get tired." Elizabeth growls as my father watches on. I finish half of the extravagant hairstyle when there is a knock at the door.
"I'll get it." Father says, not wanting to disturb us. My heart flutters when I hear the familiar voice of Davis, my regular driver. My father comes back upstairs with a rather scared expression. I would be afraid if I had to be left alone with Elizabeth when she is like this too.
"What is it father?" Elizabeth asks him sweetly.
"Anna has to go to the palace immediately. Something happened to the Prince's attire." He says. I let go of Elizabeth's hair and stand up.
"But..." Elizabeth says in shock before turning red. "Who will help me dress? Who will make me look good? The prince expects me to be beautiful!" She cries.
"You'll do fine alone Elizabeth. You are naturally beautiful, don't forget that." I say and give her a sweet smile as I walk out. She starts screaming and I blush as I can hear her even as I get into the carriage.
"Pleasant morning miss?" Davis asks, laughing slightly. I smile at him and laugh.
"It will be thank you." I say. He smiles and he gets in the driver's seat. I watch as the trees thin out and the houses get grander. As the palace comes into view I get excited and smile widely. Harry is waiting for me as I go through the gates and he hardly waits for the carriage to stop before opening the door.
"I love you." He says as he lifts me and spins me around. I laugh and kiss him.
"Hello." I say with a slight laugh. "That's how people usually greet each other." I tell him. He laughs and sets me on my feet.
"I suppose they do however we are not usual." He says. I smile and he leads me upstairs. "Have you had breakfast?" Harry asks.
"No, I've been up making Elizabeth look presentable since four in the morning." I say. "There was hardly time to breathe." I say with a slight laugh. He leads me inside the same room we had breakfast in last time and I see a wonderful breakfast spread prepared. I smile and awe slightly before Harry pulls my chair out for me. We begin to eat and I finally fully relax again.
"The ball starts at seven but people will probably only start to arrive at six. It will only take me half an hour to get ready so after breakfast and your final dress fitting what would you like to do? We can do whatever we want for a few hours." He tells me.
"I'm not sure. Something relaxing; I want to rest before the ball so I do not fall asleep." I say honestly.
"Sounds like a plan, I want to relax also." He says. I smile and after we eat Harry takes me back to the dressing room. I notice all of the staff moving quickly, preparing for the ball. Some don't even notice Harry and me and forget to bow but neither Harry nor I mind, we understand.
"Miss Anna. I have perfected the dress. It is by far my favourite creation ever." Jane says. Last time I tried on the dress the colour wasn't dyed in yet and Jane wanted to add stitching.
"I'll leave you to it." Harry says, kissing me before closing the door. I smile at Jane and I undress. She dresses me and I look in the mirror. My jaw drops and she smiles proudly. The colour in the skirt is beautifully integrated, there are two white lavender stems stitched on the bodice side of the dress. And she has laced the dress with a matching white and lavender ribbon. The white worried me, I thought since I am pale it would make me look like a ghost but it makes me look like I have some colour in comparison.
