CHAPTER 13, BREAKING AN UNBREAKABLE PROMISE

(Y/N's) POV

I tell Ersa, her mother and Kelly to get off of me. They slide off and I face the large army of giants, there's about twenty to twenty-five giants which didn't really make it an army but for giants it did. I stare at the giant's king and he stares back at me. I walk forward.

"What do you want giants?!" I shout. The giant king stops walking and grumbles "You should stay out of this dragon, that is if you want your species to continue." I growl and release only a little of my anger "Answer my question giant!" the army shifts and mumbles of uncertainty come from the crowd. "We want the goddess you have behind you to come and join us, to be my wife and bare my children," the king looks to Ersa and licks his lips like the other giant I had fought "Hello Ersa, come here. Come with me. If you don't then I will force my army on all the ones you love and kill them all."

Anger is written all over my face, I did the exact thing I said I wouldn't do and brought Ersa with me. I also brought Kelly and Ersa's mother here too! I look to the ground and dig my talons into the dirt, what is wrong with me what was I thinking!?! I face Ersa, she steps up and stands beside me holding onto my leg "I'm not going with you," she shakes her head and leans on my leg "I won't go with you, never."

The kings smile fades and he also shakes his head "That is very unfortunate," the giant loads his crossbow and I ready myself to dodge the bolt and protect Ersa "But humans just loooove to be stubborn." he aims the crossbow and fires but not at me and Ersa but at a cliff that Kelly and Ersa's mother are standing under, no!!!

I turn by using my hind legs and run towards Kelly and Ersa's mother. The huge bolt hits the cliff side and it starts to come down, I run as fast as possible and jump landing in between Mrs Ersa and Kelly putting my wings over them I do my best to protect them from the falling rocks. The rocks begin to hit my back and wings, huge spikes of pain hit all over my body but is bearable and definitely worth it to protect Kelly and Ersa's mother especially.

When the rocks stop I raise up and shake to get off any extra rocks or pebbles on me, he can harm me but he will not harm my friends or Ersa's mother! I begin to charge at the giant and he does the same, I jump and claw at the giants face, scratching him on his lip and the side of his left eye. He punches me in my chest, though it not hurting as much thanks to my protective scales, and flips me over behind him and onto my back.

I roll back over and plant my feet in the ground, that's it. I'm going to give this thing a taste of my tail. The giant fires his bow, I duck and use my tail grabbing the bolt and plunging it into the ground. The giant roars and charges, I crouch down and prepare my wings and legs to jump. When the giant is ten feet in front of me I jump and flip in the air hitting the giant in the back with my tail I send him to the ground.

I quickly go over to the king and bite down into his shoulder I begin to swing my head. After building up enough momentum I swing the giant king in a circle before releasing him into the army of his own giants. He gets up dumbly and one of his soldiers kneels down, from what I could hear he is asking his king for the army to advance. The king declines and faces me again and runs, I turn sideways the king showing his fangs at me he jumps. I turn quickly and blugen the giants head with my tail and send him into a wall, his tooth and one of his antlers breaks.

"Go for it (Y/N)! Rip the bastards head off!" Kelly yells, I hear a thunk and see a bolt fly past my face and head right for Ersa's mother "Mrs. Ersa!" Kelly lunges and pushes Mrs. Ersa to the ground avoiding the bolt, I hear the kings crossbow click and turn, he fires again but this time at me. The bolt hits me.

Pain great enough to kill anyone from the feeling alone comes to the front of my chest. I roar in pain and fall backward, "No!!!" Ersa yells, the king comes over and rips the bolt out while twisting it in my chest, I wince and whimper.
