Chapter 1

    **KARKAT'S POINT OF VIEW**

~Introduction~

  I opened my eyes to see myself looking up at my bland white ceiling. I switch on my phone. Great. It's Monday. What a delight. It is also 7:20. School starts at 7:45. FUCK.

 I slowly make my way to my closet when I notice a missed call from someone.

(1) Missed Call : Nepeta

What could she possible want right now?!

I dart out of my room and skip breakfast, I will be fine with out it or whatever.

Stepping outside of my small apartment, the smell of rain drifts through-out the whole town.

Rain.

    Hoping into my car, I sped out of the drive way and made my way to school. Out of random, I decided to call Nepeta because I had nothing better to do. Stopping at the red light I turn on my phone and call her, looking back every now and then to look at the road.

    I wait for her to pick up.

The phone rings for a few dreadful seconds, that felt like ages.

Then finally I hear a high pitched

"Hello..?!" She asked in a cheerful voice. It was so cute when she did that... FUCK. What am I saying UGH!

    "Nepeta, What did you want to tell me earlier?It better not be a complete waste of my time!"

"I was wondering if you could meet me by the park at my house right now. I just don't feel like anything important will happen at school anyways and it is such a nice day to take a day off, you know? It's purrfectly find if you can't, but if you could that would be extremely pawsome! :3" she replied. Any excuse to get me out of school is good for me and

I've wanted to hang out with Nepeta before but, I feel like I'm not good enough for her. IM DOING IT AGAIN GOD DAMN IT.

".....fine. But don't think this is a date! This is just an excuse to get me out of school!" I heavily blushed. Thank god she couldn't see me look like a complete idiot.

"K I will meet you there, Karkitty! Bye"

"WHY DO YOU KEEP CALLING ME THAT! *breaths heavily* WHATEVER! I will ugh see you there then. Good bye" I hung up.

I peak into my rear view mirror. I looked like absolute horse shit. I COULDN'T MEET HER LOOKING LIKE THIS!

I drive back to my apartment as quickly as possible to fix myself up a bit. My parents already left for work which is good, they won't question why I wasn't at school.

I insert the house key in the lock and open the door to my home. I sprint towards the bathroom. I stare at myself in the mirror. How could this girl possibly like me.. I'm a mess. My hair was always in my face and I look tired as fuck 24/7. I splash some cold water on my face to wake me up a bit. Grabbing a comb from ceramic bowl on my counter top, I try my best to even out my hair somewhat to the point that

a) it doesn't look like a fucking rats nest

b) my hair doesn't look like I tried too hard.

    After rolling on some deodorant and brushing my teeth for 5 minutes straight, I run out of the bathroom and out of my house, locking the front door behind me.

    What if Nepeta realized what a douchmuffin I am?! I continuously thought as I finally arrive to the park I would meet Nepeta at. I noticed her out on a hill with a blanket placed underneath her. She just rested there, admiring the flowers around her.

 I get out of my car, the door slamming louder than I wanted it to behind me, stupid thing. That caught Nepeta's attention from across the open field of grass and trees.

    I catch her smiling and waving for me to join her. I, then , pick up the pace I was originally was walking at. I then realized a light smile was stretching across my face.
