"Please Stay..."

Chapter 3

        "It's okay, Nepeta," I replied to her. She hugged me tightly.

        "Why did it have to happen to him, Karkitty?!" she asked, softly. I didn't know how to answer. FUCK..! I'm so stupid! 

        I couldn't handle her crying. Not that it was bothering me, but that it was affecting me as much as it affected herself. With sadness. I glance over at my watch to see that it is now 1:27pm. I had an idea.

        "Hey Nep," I squeezed her hand, "I know what will make you feel better!" She sniffled, whiping the tears away from her eyes. I move the strands of hair, falling over her face, behind her ear. She managed to crack a smile. I scratched my head, looking down at my feet.

        "Really?!" She says happily. I look back up at her.

        "Really," I faintly smiled. "Now C'mon, and get your stuff. We might be gone for a bit." I managed to make my way down the tree, with Nepeta by my side.

        After grabbing the blanket and Nepeta's purse, we made our way to my car. Unlocking the side door, I open the door for Nepeta.

        I start the engine of the car, glancing over at Nepeta who was looking around the floor. As we start to drive, I reached over for the radio.

        "You can put something on if you want," I say looking over at her.

        "Really?!?" She asked with excitment.

        "Knock yourself out," I brought my attension back on the road.

        She then went through multiple radio stations untill she finally decides what song she wants. She choses the song, Teenaged Dream by Katy Perry. I hear her faintly sing along. My palms grew sweaty. DON'T YOU DARE SING ALONG TO THIS HORRID SONG! DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE!

        "You make me feel, like I'm living a-" I grumbled along. FUUUUCCKKKK WHAT AM I DOINGG!!

        "Teenage Dream, the way you turn me on!" She laughed as she sang.

        We continued to drive.

        "SO TAKE A CHANCE AND DON'T EVER LOOK BACK!" Nepeta sang along, with an occasional giggle in between words.

        "Don't ever look back (-_-)" I said in a sarcastic tone.

        A few girly pop songs later we arrive to our destination.
