I growled again. "If you think that we are just going to follow you out, and then get in even more trouble you are severely mistaken." I said through my teeth. The female officer smirked. "You really did mean all of that didn't you? You really know how the system works n/n." She said. I froze. The officer smiled. She closed her eyes and her form shifted.
"Lord disguise?" Rena asked. B/n nodded. The door opened again. "After some talking to one of your teammates, he has confirmed your story. Your two are no longer suspects in the robbery and are free to collect your items and leave." The chief said. I could see he wanted to say something else. "If you would forgive my squadron and myself for our hastily made accusations, it would be greatly appreciated." He said, looking down. I nodded.
"Of course chief, everyone makes mistakes once in a while. You were doing your job and you made a mistake." Rena Rouge said for me. The chief nodded and left. I turned on my brother. "How did you know we were here?" I asked, standing up again. Lord disguise looked confused. "What do you mean? Your arrest was on the news and everything. There's reporters outside and everything." B/n said. I sat down, shaking my head. "What's wrong." B/n asked. I shook my head again.
"I can't do this. I can't go out in front of that many cameras. I just can't, i-its too much for me to handle. It's bad enough that me doing this to help gets me this level of attention. I can't handle being in the spotlight this much!" I said, my voice becoming desperate at the end. Rena stood up. "I have an idea." She said. Rena explained the idea. "Wait, that means we're going to know who the others are. It's dangerous to know." B/n said. I rolled my eyes. "It's not like you've already figured it out." I said sarcastically. "I've only told my friends from school that I had n/n as a nickname from my brother." I said, rolling my weight onto one hip. B/n looked shocked. "I didn't figure it out until you visited me in my room." He said. I smirked.
"So now that, that's out of the way. Let's get somewhere safe and get out of here." I said. My brother opened the door. I found an officer. "Could you please cut the camera footage from inside the building?" I asked. The officer looked confused. "It's to protect everyone in here and outside from Hawkmoth. If anyone knows who we are outside of being heros, it will be really dangerous for them to even leave their homes." Rena explained. The officer nodded and quickly typed in a bunch of keys. "I've disabled the cameras for ten minutes. That should be more than enough time." They said. I nodded.
My whip and Rena's flute were on a table. We grabbed out items and made out way to a rear entrance. We each went into a different closet. "Yin, dim it down." I said, making sure she was hidden in my purse. I went outside and waited. Ayla and b/n came out a few seconds later. We went out the door and across the street. "B/n, you said you didn't have your miraculous anymore. How did you get it back?" I asked. B/n looked away. "I went to Master Fu when it came up on the news that you two had been arrested as suspects in a late night robbery. He let me use it, but not I have to give it back." He said. Ayla nodded. "But why? What happened that you can't be a miraculous holder anymore?" I asked. B/n sighed. "It's because..." He trailed off. "because I miss used it. I was trying to figure out where you were. I snuck into the school and got caught." He said. Neither Ayla or I said anything for a while. B/n looked embarrassed.
I rolled my eyes. "We should get going. I'm sure Adrien and everyone else is probably worried about us." I said. Ayla nodded. B/n didn't say anything. I half smiled. "B/n..." I said. I told him my address and gave him the keys. "Go in and get something to eat. Look through the peephole when someone knocks. Just make sure you don't open the door if it's not me." I said. I realized I had left my phone there as well. "If you see a black phone, that's mine. Answer it if it rings. Take a note on who it was and what they needed." I added.
B/n nodded. He gave me a hug before leaving. Ayla and I ran back to her house. Luckily, everyone seemed to have left. There was a note on the fridge saying that Adrien had to leave early because his dad came back before he had expected. Marri, Nino and Nate left when they realized we weren't there. Somehow this horrible night had turned out, not so bad as I had thought it would be. Ayla and I each ate a bowl of cereal before heading to the park for a while.
We sat on the benches for a while before walking to my apartment. The person at the desk said someone had come by with my keys. He had allowed them to go up but gave Ayla and I a warning about it. "Don't worry. I know who that is. I was wondering if I could get a copy of the room key. My brother just flew in and will be staying with me for a while." I said smoothly. I got another set of keys. Ayla and I went up stairs. I heard my phone ringing. I unlocked the door and went in.
My phone was ringing but b/n wasn't in the bed, or livings rooms. I heard the shower and sighed. I answered my phone. 'Y/n? What happened?' Adrien asked from the other side. I half smiled. "Ayla and I went for a walk since we woke up first then anyone else. We didn't want to go back to sleep so we decided to walk around for a few hours. B/n found us by the park. I told him to come to the apartment so he could stay here with me." I said calmly.
'Why did it take so long to pick up?' Adrien asked. "I told b/n to answer if my phone rang, but he went in the shower. He must not have heard it ringing." I said, going into my room and taking out a pair of black sweat clothes for b/n. I waited for Adrien since he was talking to someone on his end. 'Sorry, Natalie said my father wanted me to let you know we have another shoot next week.' He said. I nodded.
The shower turned off. "Adrien could we talk later? I need to talk to my brother for a while. I'll call you." I said. 'Sure.' Adrien said before hanging up. Ayla smiled. "I'll see you later y/n." She said. I nodded. "See you Ayla." I said. I sat on the couch for b/n to get out. I heard the door open. "There's clothes on the bed for you. Their big for me so they should fit." I called to him. I heard another door close. I waited, crossing my legs for when b/n came out.
When he finally did, I couldn't help but smile. B/n smiled back. "I'm going to have to get you some real guy clothes." I said. B/n half laughed. He sat in the couch, and ran his hand roughly through my hair. "Hey! Cut that out!" I said, pulling his hand out. I had to detangle my hair before it could stay that way. B/n laughed. "You never used to be so concerned about you hair n/n." He said. I pushed him softly.
"I was FIVE back then b/n. I'm nearly sixteen now. I should care about how I look. People already think I'm weird enough as it is. It's not like the whole school doesn't know that I basically lived alone my whole life." I said, half smiling. I stood up and got some food out. I had everything to make baked macaroni and cheese. It used to be b/n favorite when we were little kids.
