After the cast is removed: one month
Your POV
“Y/n you really should be careful. Maybe you should wait just a little longer.” Yang warned me. I half smiled. “But it’s been so long.” I countered. It had been three long, boring days since I had gotten my cast removed. Both Yin and Yang said I should wait. I understood it would look weird if Starfire appeared after such a long absence the exact same day my cast came off, but by now it would seem somewhat normal. I could just say I had been out of the city and unable to come in time during the akuma attacks if anyone questioned it. Only Ladybug, Chat noir and Ayla would know the truth. That seemed like a reasonable response. I couldn’t say I had been hurt: people might think about who they had seen hurt and start to draw connections. The most recent akuma attack, I had been compelled to join. Chat and Rena Rouge had been ‘captured’ by the akumatized person. Ladybug had been able to stop the akuma, luckily, but I had wanted to help her. I could see how hard it was for her without someone else helping her out. None of us could stop an akuma by ourselves, we needed assistance. Chat noir and Rena Rouge could stop the akuma and free the wicked butterfly, but only Ladybug and I could purify them. Only Ladybug could purify them readily if there was more than one attack in a single day. Hawkmoth needed to be stopped, no matter what the cost ended up being. It would take every one of us to stop him, we had to work together to get that accomplished. I looked out the window. Adrien wouldn’t be at his house until his afternoon lessons were finished. I had at least an hour until then. “I want to know I won’t mess anything up when I do need to help.” I insisted. Yin smiled. “You don’t have to worry about that y/n. You’ll be just the same as always, you never give up.” She said. I waited. Yang sighed. “Fine, but be careful.” He said. I grinned victoriously. “Yin, Yang combine!” I said quickly. Once I was transformed, I opened the window discreetly and used my whip to swing onto the roof. I looked around, hearing someone coming. It didn’t sound like someone was below and walking around on the sidewalk or street.
I looked around and saw someone jumping on the rooftops. I could tell it was Ladybug, my night vision was starting to kick in. I half smiled and turned my whip into the ‘phone’, clicking on her photo: to call her. My screen would be too dark for her to see me at all. I didn’t know if she had a photo set for me yet. "Hello?" She answered, sounding confused. I could hear her from where I was. I smiled though. "Why do you seem so worried? Seen a ghost have you Ladybug?" I asked. "Who is this?" Ladybug asked, now she sounded really worried. I could see that she was looking around. I laughed slightly. Instead of answering, I broke the connection and lept over to where Ladybug was standing. She turned around, hearing my feet hit the roof. I could make out her squinting in the dimming light. "It hasn't been that long since I’ve been around." I said in a neutral tone. "Starfire?!" Ladybug realized. I smiled slightly. "It took you that long to realize it was me? I haven't been decommissioned for that long just yet." I said, making my voice sound hurt. Ladybug seemed to buy it. "I didn't mean it like that! It's just been a while since you’ve shown up and I was thinking about something else." She said quickly. I laughed. "I know LB. I'm only messing around with you." I said. Ladybug sighed. "You and Chat are too alike for my sanity… I swear." She countered. I gasped slightly. "I am nothing like that alley cat!" I retorted quickly. "You called?" A purring voice said. "Great…" Ladybug and I said at the same time. Chat lowered himself down with his baton. "Good to see you again… mon loup." He purred, leaning on his baton. I rolled my eyes but walked toward him, like I was going to say something. Instead, I swung around quickly, kicking Chat's baton out from under him. I lifted it with my foot and held onto it with a light grip. I walked a few steps back, laughing. I could hear Ladybug laughing too. Chat grumbled. "Okay, very funny." He allowed. I took a breath. "I thought cats always land on their feet? Guess we finally know you’re not one Chaton." I said while Ladybug caught her breath. Chat got up. I jumped back and out of his reach. "Missed me." I taunted playfully, standing just a few feet away. "N/- Starfire, I thought you weren't going to be able to transform for a while?" Chat hissed. I froze, him being able to get his baton back in those few seconds. 'Was he going to say n/n?' I thought. Ladybug seemed to notice my pause.
