I stare out of the window of our new house. I hate it. I rather be in our cabin in the forest. The only thing good about this place is that it backs onto the forest. We are officially in a packs property and I hate it.

I look at the forest yearning to go out and run free. I haven't been able to get out of the house for two days and I have another 3 more till dad will take me out hunting.

"Theadora are you there?" I hear my father ask as the front door closes.

"Yeah dad,"

"I just came back from the pack house." He says as he walks into my room.

"Yeah and?" I ask.

"The alpha has completely welcomed me into his pack. And he knows about you, but he wants to meet you in person' He says proudly.

"When do I have to meet him?." I ask

"He will be coming over tomorrow morning around 10," He says

"Tomorrow?" I ask. He nods his head. I sigh.

"Please be presentable." He says.

"Okay," I say glumly as I head up to my new room. This new life is going to suck.

************

I wake up to the sound of my alarm and groan. I have to meet the Alpha today and I don't really want to. I look at the time and see it is five past nine.

I close my eyes and sigh, I probably should get up now. I roll out of bed stumbling towards the bathroom scratching my ear.

I stare at the person in the mirror, they vaguely resemble my mother. But the person in the mirror has piercing gold eyes, wolf ears on the top of their head, sharp teeth that look like a wolves. She has messy dark brown hair, almost black.

It took me 45 minutes to get ready and at least decent for the alpha.

I sit on my bed, not really wanting to go downstairs just yet, and pick up the book from my bedside table. I become lost in the book. The author can make you hooked from the first page. I love books that can do that to you. They're absolutely amazing.

"Theadora! Come down please," My dad yells sounding slightly annoyed. I wonder what's his problem.

I place down my book and sigh. I make my way out of my room and to the top of the stairs. I look down and see my father and the Alpha talking. The alpha looks around my dad's age. I slowly walk down the stairs observing the scene in front of me. My dad looks like he is in an awkward situation, whilst the Alpha doesn't seem to notice.

At the bottom of the stairs I catch my dad's attention by slightly waving at him.

"Theadora I didn't hear you come down," My dad says. " This is Alpha Williams, Alpha this is my daughter Theadora," My dad introduces us. Alpha Williams looks at me with surprise, slowly studying me. I suddenly feel self conscious.

Alpha Williams extends his hand for me to shake. "Nice to meet you Theadora, welcome to the pack,"

"T-thank you," I say.

"I hope you like being part of this pack," He says as I give him a smile, even though being part of the pack is going to suck, because I'll only be able to leave the house once a freaking week.

"Well I should go back to my duties. It's very nice to meet you Theadora. Goodbye. Goodbye Bruce."

"Y-you too al-lpa. G-goodbye," I say nervously. I don't know why I am so nervous.

"Goodbye alpha Williams, I'll see you tomorrow." My dad says.

My dad shows the Alpha out while I go to the living room and sit down, waiting for my father to come back.

"So what do you think of the Alpha?" My dad asks walking into the room.

"He seems nice," I say not to sure what to say.

"Yeah He does seem nice."

"Can we please go out to hunt tomorrow. I'm really bored," I ask.

"Uh I'm sorry but we can't. I have to go to a pack meeting tomorrow and we're having the Alpha family for dinner tomorrow, cause it is a tradition that goes way back for this pack. Every new family must invite the alpha family over to show how appreciative they are. But I'm sorry but tomorrow night you're going have to stay in your room. The Alpha thinks that the less people who know about you the better."

"What's so bad about people knowing about me?" I ask sadly.

"People will look down on you. Look down on this family. There hasn't been any records about someone like you so they might freak out," he says.

"But what's so bad about the Alpha family knowing? And why should we care if they look down on us?" I ask.

"The Alpha orders only us to know. If you show yourself people will look at me like I'm some sort of diseases , I won't be able to get a good place in the pack," He says starting to get angry. But I am definitely angry. I am going to be miserable just because of him. I'm going to be kept hidden for the rest of my life, just so my father doesn't get embarrassed in front of people. He's embarrassed by his own daughter.

I get off the couch and run up into my room and lock the door before my father can do anything about it. There is only one one benefit on being like this. I have my wolf senses all the time. While normal werewolves in human form only have half of their wolf senses. So I was able to run up to my room quickly.

I lay down on my bed as a tear fall out of my eye. I wipe it away for it to be replaced by new ones.

Why did we have to move? I know the rogue life isn't for everyone, but it's my only way of being free.
