I wake up with a tear streaked face. I rub my eyes slowly as I sit up. Memories from yesterday come back to me. I'm definitely not talking to him today. I'll stay in my room all day if thats what it takes.

I listen to hear what is going on down stairs. It sounds like my dad is getting ready to go out. Of course the pack meeting! I wait for about ten minutes before I hear the front door slam close. I sigh slowly getting up from my bed.

I suddenly feel my heart sink, like I have a bad feeling.

I slowly walk into my bathroom, shaking my head. Stop being stupid, nothing is wrong, I tell myself.

I look at the person in the mirror with a confused face. What could be wrong thought?

I suddenly feel anxious. Is someone in the house? I listen out and only hear the soft creaking of the roof. But somehow that puts me on edge even further.

Calm down Theadora, what is wrong with you?

I grip the sink and take a deep breath, which calms me down a little.

I suddenly hear a knock on the front door. My heart starts pounding, who is there?

I slowly exit the bathroom, being cautious as I walk. I walk down the stairs being careful not to make them creak. I hear a knock on the door again.

"Theadora?" I hear a young woman say. "It's okay, I'm not here to hurt you or anything," she says.

I quickly go up to the front door and look out the hole. She looks around the age of 16.But something more about her sticks out.

I slowly open the door a crack.

"Hey, I'm Jane Williams!" She says happily in a husky voice, which sends shivers down my spine.  Williams? Sounds familiar.

Something feels off about her, something different.

She sees I make no move to open the door. "Sorry, I'm the alphas daughter. Dad told me about you, don't worry, I can be trusted," she smiles, before smelling the air. Which seems like an odd thing to do, if we weren't basically wolves.

"er eyes quickly darken, as she smells something in the air. Before I realize what she growls "Mate,"

I carefully look at her, realizing she is indeed telling the truth. I quickly open the door and her scent hits me full in the face. I feel my eyes also darken, but I quickly snap myself out of it.

My mate is a girl?

I watch her as she also snaps out of her daze and mumble a quick apology.

"It's alright," I smile taking all of her features in. She has dark brown hair and eyes that look like they contain a small universe. She's slightly taller than me. And a small nose piercing, which looks good on her.

"You must be Theadora," She says in her husky voice.

"That's me," I say in reply.

"Nice to meet you, my mate," She says extending her hand for me to shake. I grip it firmly, as the contact sends sparks flying through me.

I let go of her hand and invite her into the house, closing the door behind us. I quickly remember my manners.

"Would you like something to drink, mate?" I ask, trying out the word on my tongue.

"Water. Please," She says.

I lead her into the kitchen, before searching around the cupboards for a glass. When I find one, I turn back to her, to notice she is staring at me with an intrigued look on her face. If she were anyone but my mate, I would probably tell them to quit staring.

"Tap or cold water?" I ask.

"Taps fine thanks," She says as I fill up the glass and quickly hand it to her, slightly brushing her fingers against mine.

"Cute tail," She says smirking a little.

"T-thanks," I say back to my mate.

I don't really have good social skills, as I have been living in the forest for the past 10 years. So I don't really know what to say.

"That's alright," She says.

"So do you like your new home?" She asks me.

"No, not really," I say truthfully.

"Why what's wrong with it?" She says as something flickers across her eyes, which I think was sadness.

"Nothing will compare to living in the forest," I say

"Oh," She simply says in a sad tone. It almost breaks my heart, I didn't mean to hurt her.

"But, I guess it's better now I've met you," I say in my best attempt to cheer her up. It appears to work, as a huge grin appears on her face.

"Really?" She asks.

"Of course, you're my mate." I say.

"So you do accept me?" She asks.

"Yes, why would you ask such thing?" I ask.

"Well, I was afraid you'd reject me, as I am a girl. I didn't think I was into girls, but it turns out I am. And was afraid you were thinking the same thing, but you would refuse to think it, and I didn't think that you would want me, because even though we've just met, I don't want to lose you. Sorry I'm rambling now," She says in one breath, but I keep up. A wave of sadness comes over me. I don't want my mate to be said.

Before I know what I'm doing, I'm embracing my mate. "I don't want to lose you either," I whisper, in complete truthfulness. I never thought that I would lose her.

I feel her slowly hug me back, I look at her face and notice a small smile on her face, with light tears in her eyes.

"Thea, for the record, it's already a lot better here, now you've arrived." She grins.
