Different But Same
Cherry had dressed into a red skater shirt, a black long sleeved shirt, and a black denim jacket. "Miguel! Hurry up! And bring me my Converse please!" Cherry yelled from the kitchen. "The black ones?!" "Yes!" After Cherry confessed her true feelings, Miguel then did the same. He then slept over - after they went to go get him extra clothes. Miguel came running down the stairs and took over cooking while Cherry put on her shoes. They both quickly ate and then ran over to Cherry's car.
Cherry sighed, not starting the car.
"What's wrong?"
"It's just that I feel like a total bitch."
"Hey. We went over this. It's my fault. Okay? It's not your fault." Cherry sighed, still uncertain, so Miguel kissed the top of her head. "Come on, let's go to school." Cherry sighed, nodded and turned the engine on, driving them to school. Upon arriving, they shared a look. "You ready?"
"As I'll ever be."
Cherry hugged Miguel and they got out of the car and headed toward the building.

"How'd it go?" Cherry asked when Miguel, Demetri, and Eli approached her and Aisha. "How'd what go?" Aisha asked. "Miguel broke up with Sam." "Um. Well, she cried." "Expected," Eli muttered as Miguel sat next to Cherry, Demetri sitting on the grass. "Before I broke up with her, I kept bringing up her family, saying if I could meet them. . . She kept avoiding the topic. Then I just, I broke up with her."
Cherry nodded and took hold of his hand.
"I know that we both know how we feel about each other, but let's wait until tonight? Sam seeing us kiss at school on the same day you guys broke up won't be good. I want to at least show some mercy on her. After all, we have been best friends most of our lives." Miguel nodded, understanding and respecting Cherry's decision.
"That little bitch!"
Everyone turned to Aisha.
"What?"
"You know that video I posted of me breaking that board?"
"Yeah." "Look what Yasmine commented." Cherry held the phone so everyone could see it. She read the comment and felt her anger bubbling through her. "I gotta do something." "How about we kidnap her -" "I'm stopping you right there, Eli." "It's -" but Eli stopped when he received a glare from Cherry.
"Yeah, Hawk, calm down." "And no, you won't be beating anyone up," Miguel told Cherry, causing her to pout. "You know, for someone in karate, you'd expect you'd have less anger," Demetri admitted. "Wait, I got a better idea." Aisha showed them Yasmine's story. She was going to be having a party, "v.i.p." only. "Yasmine's throwing a birthday party at the Canyon later?" "Not if we strike first." Cherry smirked at Aisha and high fived her. "Hell yeah!" Miguel smirked at everyone and Cherry smiled. "Oh, this should be fun."
After school, they went to the store next to the dojo and they began to buy food and snacks for the party. "All right, make sure to stock up good. Cherry is inviting everyone." "V.I.P. only my ass," Cherry said. "I still don't understand how we're gonna buy alcohol," Demetri whispered. Eli scoffed at him.
