There was a lone soldier named Dante — a man who preferred to work alone. He roamed the cities of the upper world, killing rebellious, out of control demons...

"What does this have to do with a gift?" You asked, turning your head to look at your bride.
"Just listen, my King. Stories have more to offer than just words and entertainment." He informed you, a smile on his face.

He was sitting in his office, which was a large building at the end of a trashy alleyway. He named this office: Devil May Cry. Despite having an odd job, the man made ends meet from what cash he was able to earn.
One night, he was sitting in his throne, feet kicked upon the large desk in front of him. The room was quiet except for the soft tunes emitting from the jukebox. His leftover dinner was at the edge of the table in a small takeaway container, giving the dimly lit room the scent of strong, warm spices and fresh basil.
A knock came at the door — a very loud one at that. He turned his pale, blue eyes to the door, expecting someone to waltz in. When no-one came, he used his voice: "Who is it," he demanded, still calm as ever. The knocking continued.
It got to a point where it annoyed him to no end. With a scowl on his pale face, he stood up and bounded towards the door. His fingertips merely brushed the oak before the heavy doors blew in, revealing a small group of demons— Hell Pride to be exact.

With his might sword rebellion, he dashed through the crowd, sending limbs left in right as if it were the easiest thing in the world...

"Oh?" You raised a brow, "tell me more."
"I'll say as soon as the story calls for it." V winked, causing you to glare at him. Even with your menacing look, your bride wasn't fazed at all.
"Very well..."

After the demons were defeated so effortlessly, the ground started to violently tremble. Outside, a gigantic tower started to break through the surface of the ground: Temen-ni-gru.
With a purpose, Dante bounded towards the base of the tower— not even King Cerberus could stop him. He traveled up the spiraling tower, slaying beasts left and right. When he made it to the top, he was swallowed by the flying whale: Leviathan.
He slid through his intestines, toughing through the acidic stench of the stomach acid and the sprays of said fluid. He finally made it to the heart. But instead of the Leviathan having one— he had three. Three large, beating, violent, hearts.
