Regan’s P.O.V

I groaned I wanted to just roll over and go back to sleep, even though I had already done that about five times today. My foot felt fine, which was surprising but that might just because I wasn’t standing on it, so it didn’t have any pressure on it.

I carefully climbed out of bed slowly applying more of my wait onto my foot. Apart from a little sting nothing to mayor happened. I grinned slipping on my big pink kitten slippers. I know, ironic isn’t it. Blake always calling me kitten and owning these kitten slippers. They were just so comfy though.

When I went to the campfire no one was around, I poked my head into my parents, no one was in there either. I did the same for Sharon, Michaels and Hunters tent. Don’t worry I called out them before hand though, I didn’t want to walk in on anyone getting changed. I sighed, they were probably down at the river again.

I ate my bowl of disgusting cereal and grabbed my last moro bar. Chucking my moro bar in my pocket I decided to go for a walk. Even though I went up here every year, I didn’t really ever get any time to go for a walk by myself though. I turned my sketch pad open towards the back pages and scribbled a not down saying that I had gone for a walk and would be back before dark.

Replacing my comfy slipped with sneakers took a lot of will power, I really just wanted to keep them on. I picked my jersey up knowing that I wold probably need it. I took the familiar route down the road until I came a tuning point. I looked a head of me and saw the old route I had walked back and forwards a million times. It was the way to the river. Or... I looked to my right and saw a small little path I had never noticed before.

I knew it probably wasn’t safe but I wasn’t here to be safe, I was here to have fun and go on a fun walk. And walking the same old boring route to the river and back was no fun but then track was old and worn out and was certainly not safe, but like closer I walked to it the more I wanted to take the track.

As I starting walking down the tracks, I got a weird vibe that an animal or person was watching me. I ignored it and continued walking deeper into the woods. I loved the look the woods gave. It wasn’t a creepy dark place with old branches sticking out everywhere starching you or anything. It was lovely. The sun shone brightly through the gaps in the trees and it looked beautiful.

I sat down in the shade of one of the trees for a few minutes just to catch my breath and not get burnt in the sun too much. After I caught my breathe I headed back the way I came. After I finished back through my new walkway I found I glanced down at my shoe noticing that the shoe laces were untied.

One second I was standing up looking at my shoelaces, the next I falling down and smashing my butt on the ground. I groaned and looked up to see what I had walked into. Hunter towered over me with a sheepish look on his face. He had his hand stuck out towards. I grabbed his hand and he helped me up.

“Sorry Regan, I didn’t see you there” Hunter said sheepishly. I laughed and shrugged my shoulders.

“It’s no biggy, don’t worry about it” I said smiling, “Where were heading anyway” I asked cocking my head to the side.

“I was going back to the tents to check on you, I didn’t know if you were up yet or not. The others are all down at the river” said Hunter smiling. I grinned back. He was coming to check on me. He cares about me. Oh my gosh. Blushing I nodded and we starting heading back to the tents.

“How is your ankle, are you feeling any better?” Hunter asked me concerned.

“Yeah, I thought I would have to rest for a few days but I feel a lot better” I said smiling. I could still feel the blood rushing towards my cheeks. I couldn’t help it. I always blush all the time even if someone I don’t like says something nice to me. And the fact that I like Hunter and he keeps asking if I am feeling any better, showing that he cares is not helping my already red cheeks.

“Well, now that I have checked up on you I should go back to the river, I will see you soon though” Hunter explained looked at my eyes. I smiled nodding, showing that I understood what he was saying.

By now we had reached the tents and I was going to grab my sketch book to draw a picture. Once I had grabbed my stuff I went and sat down next to the camp fire and starting sketching the view of all the trees.

Just as I finished adding the detail to my picture, Mum, Dad, Sharon and Michael came strolling down the path and sitting next to me.

“Aww, thats a lovely picture hon, can I have a look at some of your others” Sharon asked grinning at me.

“Sure, just be careful the pages are really easy to rip” I said smiling. Sharon smiled at me and flipped back to the front of the book. Grinning I watched as she flipping through my sketches commenting on one every now and then. A glanced up from my sketches and noticed that Hunter and Blake were back now too. Everyone was crowding around my sketches.

Looking back down at my sketch book I noticed Sharon had stopped on a specific sketch and she was grinning. I looked down at what sketch it was and my heart stopped, I swear. Slowly swallowing nothing, I slowly turned my head and my eyes rested on Blake. I wanted to know his reaction, but his face was blank. No one said anything for a second until Sharon spoke up.

“Wow, thats an amazing sketch Regan, my favorite one” she said grinning. I didn’t smile back I was too nervous.

"What do you think Blake?” asked Sharon. I silently groaned he is going to make so much fun of me and tell everyone at school that I have been stalking him and drawing him. Before I could control tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.

“It’s nice Kitten but you totally missed out something” Blake said seriously. I groaned, I knew he was going to criticize it, that’s one of the reasons I didn’t want him to see it. Sighing I asked him what it was that he thought I missed. Leaning in really close blake rested his lips on my ear.

“You didn’t capturing all of my sexiness, but I understand, it is a lot of sexiness to try and capture in just one picture” Blake whispered onto my ear. A shiver ran through me and face turned red for the millionth time that day. Turning away from me, Blake sent me his signature smirk and I felt more blood rushing to me cheeks. My father’s voice pulled Blake and I away from our little ‘conversation’

“Well, its agreed on then” My father enthusiastically said. I spun around to as fast as my body would allow.

“What’s agreed on?” I asked confused.

“Oh honey, I almost forgot about you. You weren’t down at the river so we never discussed it with you” My father said. “But your Mother, Sharon, Michael and I are going to go to dinner tonight and then stay at home for a night because the blow up beds aren’t doing much help for our old backs” joked dad. I cracked a smile and gestured for him to continue.

“So, you will be here with Blake and Hunter for the night” My dad concluded. If I had a drink in my mouth I would have down one of those cartoon spit takes. I would be here with Hunter and Blake all by myself. That is so unfair, why couldn’t I go back with my parents for the night. Before I could I ask my fun loving father stuck with big nose in again. Sighing I let him speak.

“Now Regan honey, I know you have never gotten drunk. Tonight if you want you may get as shit faced as you want” My father said laughing. Before I could speak my father was back at it again.

“I don’t want you ever getting drunk Regan you know that, but I figured it would be safer if you were to get drunk while away from the city and town with a couple of your friends. Rather than some big college party and then seriously injuring yourself. Here you are safe, these two boys will look after you, they already promised” My father said grinning at me.

My mouth hung agape. I knew my father wanted me out more and doing more teenage things, but this was taking it too far. My father handing Blake and Hunter a big bag full of different kinds of alcohol. I could not believe this happening.

But before I could argue my point, my parents were hugging me and telling me to be safe. I sighed hugging them and told them to be careful on roads home. As Sharon, Michael, Mum and Dad pulled out of the drive way I turned towards Blake who had possession of all the alcohol. He raised one of his eyebrows. I had always wanted to do that. How do people even do that? I’m always jealous of anyone who can do that.

“I am not having any of that” I said pointing towards the disgusting bag of alcohol. Blake just shrugged with his signature smirk still in tact.
