Regan’s POV-

“No way, we are not watching that” I said while pointing to the stupid move that Blakey had chosen.

“Too bad Kitten, you said you didn’t mind what we watched, so I choose this one” Blakey said with his signature smirk still in tact.

Let me give you the low down on how this happened. After Hunter had ended the call on me and Blakey said we could have our own movie night, I said that I didn’t mind what movie we watched and Blakey could choose. That’s how this argument started.

“No” I replied stubbornly. No way in hell will I ever watch that stupid horror movie with him. It’s not even like he choose a sort of scary movie, he choose a really scary one. After he made me watch the trailer, claiming ‘that it isn’t that bad’, I found out that it is based on true events. Like, What the fuck? No! I am not watching that.

“Yes”

“No”

“Yes”

“No”

“Yes”

“No”

“No”

“Yes”

“Aha, you said ‘Yes’” Blakey said while beaming at me. I groaned, that is so unfair, I always manage to lose at that. Everyone always tricks me.

“Fine, just put the stupid disk in” I sighed. Blakey just smirked at me before turning around and chucking the disk in. I huffed and crossed my arms, I have only ever watched one horror movie before and that was when I was ten. Derek forced me to. Half way through watching it, we had a power out-age and I thought I was going to die. Derek thought it would be funny to scare me, I ended up punching him and fainting. (A/N, In case you can’t remember Derek is her older brother, who is currently in college)

“Kitten don’t worry, if any bad monsters come, I will protect you” Blakey whispered in my arm. His warm husky voice hit the back of my neck and It was hard keeping my body from shivering. I didn’t even notice him sit back down, I guess I was too deep in thought to notice. I just miss Derek so much, we used to do everything together.

My thoughts were cut short when I noticed the title pop up on the screen ‘The Conjuring’. What a stupid name.

After about half an hour of watching the movie, I was nearly peeing my pants. Lucky for me Blakey was here or else I would have like been scared to death by now. Not even once has Blakey screamed (not that I expected him to) or flinched (I expected him to flinch, I mean come on). I screamed when the little girl was picked up by her hair. There was no one there, but at the same time someone was lifting her.

Without even realizing it, I moved closer to Blakey. I was sitting right next to him, If I moved even just a centimeter move I would be pushed against his side. Just as I was about to move away, an arm wrapped around my waist, gently but with some urgency, forcing me to stay where I was. At first I started to freak out, but when I realized that it wasn’t some freak demon coming to kill me, I relaxed. Without thinking, I leaned into his body, capturing as much warmth as possible. I felt safer being in Blakey’s arms, like no demon could get to me.

When the movie finally finished, I was too scared to even look at a dark shadow. It totally looked like there was someone there. After sitting in silence for about two minutes, Blakey finally broke the ice.

“Are you alright there, Kitten?” he asked while chuckling. His warm lips brushing along the back of my ear lope. A small shiver ran down my spine. I didn’t reply instead I simply just nodded.
