jihoon lied on the sofa with a pillow cushioning his head. the young omega was asked to rest for the night since he's tired himself out so easily from his work.

"you shouldn't be working when you're pregnant, hoonie..." his husband had reminded him earlier that day. but, as always, jihoon was stubborn. nothing could keep him from composing and producing new music.

but he might as well be, for now, because of the baby.

the television was switched on, the new tv drama flashing before his eyes as he watched the main character clutched his head before falling down while the other male across the street ran away with his friend in tow, calling out his name.

"what'cha watching, babe?" jihoon heard soonyoung's voice from the kitchen and glanced behind him, where he saw soonyoung chopping some carrots and then setting it aside to chop another vegetable.

jihoon sighed as he looked back at the television where he saw the title appearing in the big screen before it faded and showed a scene of the small character crouching down on a bench and his friend stroking his back to calm him down.

"it's a new drama that was aired just yesterday. apparently, it's a world in which they can't see the colors unless they meet their fated other."

"like a soulmate?"

"i guess."

soonyoung hummed. "so? what's the title? sounds interesting."

jihoon shifted to lie on his back, but it seems like it was uncomfortable because of his growing bump so he went back to his previous position.

"i don't really recall. i think it's called 'colors'? i don't know. this is honestly the first gay drama i've seen in my life."

"gay? that's rare for them to actually make, considering the society being a bunch of sexist brats." soonyoung commented, cutting the peeled potatoes from earlier before setting them aside as well, grabbing the onions.

"true. but i don't like the title. it's so bland and boring. i'm betting it wouldn't attract as much viewers as they would want to."

"yeah, that's correct. but what about the story?"

"hmm?"

"what's the story about?"

"hmm, the main character has always been wanting to meet his soulmate but scratched it out and became this hot chick's boyfriend for i don't know how long. they went on a date, but in the middle of the day, the main character whose name is hoshi, by the way, met his soulmate across the streets. but his soulmate doesn't want to see him. maybe he hates soulmate shit—"

"don't curse in front of the baby!"

"...thing... and ran away from hoshi before hoshi could get to him."

soonyoung chuckled. "so, is the soulmate gonna keep running away from hoshi all the time?"

"i'm guessing." soonyoung nodded before walking to the refrigerator and opening it, shivering at the coldness that bursted out.

"what are you cooking, anyway?" jihoon asked as he averted his gaze from the tv (where woozi, hoshi's soulmate, was sitting beside the8 on the bench while sniffing from crying) and looked over his alpha where he can see the other grabbing a bowl of green peas and placing it on the counter, where the other variety of vegetables sat, waiting.

"i'm making vegetable curry. figured it would be good for you and our baby's health."

jihoon hummed. "sounds delicious."
