soonyoung held the given bat to him in his hands, keeping it in his firm grip. he looked over jihoon who looked pretty much nervous just like him.

"a-are you sure about this?" he stuttered, feeling his hold on the bat wavering. jihoon bit his lip and nodded firmly, his eyes filled with determination.

minghao was just beside jihoon, a camera in hand as he was recording the scene before him, switching his gaze from jihoon to soonyoung and vice versa.

their other friends were surrounding them, looking pretty much excited of what's going on.

soonyoung sighed. "if you say so."

afterwards, he hit the piñata as hard as he can, breaking it into two and making it fall down from the branch of the tree.

minghao zoomed the camera closer to soonyoung's face. he himself couldn't contain the excitement he felt over the situation. everyone else crowded around with soonyoung over what was inside.

when soonyoung picked it up, he slowly stood up, his eyes fixated only to the sky blue confettis that fell off from the piñata.

jihoon was biting his nails out of anxiousness. he didn't know how soonyoung would react. he knows he's jihoon's husband, but that still doesn't mean that he should know how his alpha would react. (he should.)

but when soonyoung turned over to him, he couldn't help but notice the awe and joy that's currently in soonyoung's face, his jaw still dropped. then, with a shaky breath, soonyoung asked a question that brought tears to jihoon's eyes.

"i-it's a boy?" soonyoung was crying as well, his heart bursting and he felt the overwhelming emotions coming to him in one go. but he couldn't feel nothing else but the love and happiness that seemed to multiply after discovering the unborn baby's gender.

jihoon, finding that he can't speak, nodded briskly, mouth quivering as soonyoung grinned at him, his brows furrowing. soonyoung shook.

"i'm gonna be a dad..."

jihoon nodded again, closing his eyes and letting the tears roll down his cheeks. he heard soonyoung laugh.

"oh, my god! i'm gonna be a dad!"

earlier before this event occured, soonyoung had called minghao over to take care of his omega while he goes to work.

when minghao arrived, he was confused as to why jihoon was wearing clothes that was meant for outside, his hands caressing the big baby bump.

"where are you going?"

"i'm going to the doctor."

"is the baby coming already?"

"what? no! it's just that... it's already five months..."

"...shouldn't you go with soonyoung-hyung, then? he's your husband."

jihoon only smiled in response. "i want it to be a surprise."

and so, jihoon and minghao had a trip to the doctor, with jihoon lying down to the provided bed in the clinic and had his shirt lifted up to reveal the big baby bump.

dr. jung was looking in the screen, clicking a few buttons before he turned to the omegas.

"congratulations, mrs. kwon. you're having a baby boy!"

"oh, no. so we're really naming him 'jiyoung'."

but nevertheless, jihoon could never be happier. when they went out of the clinic, minghao suggested something that jihoon agreed to without second thoughts.
