Percy's POV

Annabeth had nothing else to say, so we sat awkwardly beside each other, none of us making a move.

"Well, let's continue then." Zeus said awkwardly.

Percy's POV memory

I stood in front of the park, a place that's practically my home. I resent it, I resent Gabe, I hate him so goddamn much, and I hate my mom. Call it mean, it's true. She works day and night, she either drags me along or leaves me with Gabe. She and I don't have a relationship, we say we love each other, but all it is are words. I sound like a teenager, I'm obviously not.

I'm to short to be a teenager, I'm to young, I'm not a high schooler yet, heck, I'm not even in middle school. I don't fit in with the preschoolers, or anyone for that matter. Maybe if I act dumb? Act my age? Isn't that a saying? Maybe I could act more like a child, maybe my mom would want me more if I did.

And slowly, throughout the days, I observed and became. I exaggerate my ADHD and dyslexia, and stopped using big words.

"Percy.. you should never have forced yourself to change, I love you, no matter how you act." My mom said, hugging me. I sighed and hugged her back.

"I was a kid, I was foolish, and lonely. For a kid who had a distant mom and an abusive step dad, I think I turned out quite well." I smiled.

"Mom!" I shouted in a playful voice. She never noticed that I changed... that disappointed me to no end, but she is trying to talk with me more, which is a good thing, she is nicer then I previously thought. She started making blue food, I think I'm obsessed.

"Percy! I wanted to tell you something." My mom said with a smile. Did she finally decide to give me away? Or is this something worse? Hopefully it's a good thing, like planning Gabe's disappearance. Yeah, okay, that's a little far.

"What is it?" I asked with a big smile. I think I like acting like a kid my age, this will probably be the closest thing to normal I will ever get.

"You remember Montuak (sp?) beach, the place where I met your father?" My mom asked, grabbing onto my shoulder.

"The guy that decided to pick up and leave after he found out you were pregnant? Yeah, I remember the place." I said quietly. I hate him, he left us with Gabe, he's the reason I'm so messed up, he is the reason I didn't have a childhood.

"Percy, he didn't have a choice but to leave, I told you this." My mom said sadly. I sighed and put on a big, fake smile.

"Yeah! What about the place?" I asked, making her smile.

"I rented our cabin for the weekend! Just us two!" She grinned happily. I gasped, we hadn't gone there for a while! Gabe said we didn't have the money, and I think Gabe will keep using that excuse for years to come. We use to go a couple times a summer, this year though, we didn't. Last year we went with Gabe, he tried drowning me, but with my water powers, I found relief in the water.

"Really!" I said in excitement. It's been a while since I've been this happy, which for a four year old, is very unfortunate. Eh, whatever, not like it matters.

"Yeah, go pack up, you know what to bring." My mom smiled, walking away, probably to pack her things.

Time skip~

We were finally at the beach, and we were finishing tidying the cabin. I changed into my bathing suit, which covered my entire body, which was plain black. My mom asked me what I wanted and I said this, and it cost as much as swim trunks, so she was fine with it. Didn't suspect a thing.

"Alright, there's still light, you hop into the water, I'll get fire set up." Mom smiled and shooed me away. I smiled and ran into the water, who knows, maybe some fish will come and say hi.

"Hello, m'lord!" A fish smiled at me, smiling at me casually. I looked at my mom, who looked busy, so I submerged into the water and smiled at the small fish.

"Hi! How are you?" I asked, and the fish bowed slightly.

"I am doing good, m'lord. How are you?" He asked, swimming in the same spot.

"You don't have to address me in such a formal way, just call me Percy. And I'm doing as well as I can. How is my father?" I asked. Oh please, of course I know who my father is, of course I know who and what I am. My powers linked with water, my moms excuse for where my dad went, and how sea creatures address me. My dad is a sea god, Roman or Greek, more than likely Greek because I've heard my mom pray to them before. So my father is Poseidon.

"You're father misses you and miss Sally dearly." He said, I nodded.

"Does he know that I already know of my parentage?" I asked.

"No, none of the royal family knows, because we believe it will endanger you." He said and I smiled. I frowned when I heard my mom calling for me.

"Thank you, do not tell them, this needs to stay secrets I must take my leave, goodbye." I said and came out of the water, making sure I was still wet. My mom and I sat around the fire, and she told me stories of what she and Poseidon did the summer they met.

"Wait you knew? And my subjects knew as well and kept it secret?" My father asked in shock.

"Yeah, they were as loyal to me as they were to you. And I only knew because of how obvious it was. I found out when mom and I were at a pet store looking sat fishes, they suck at keeping secrets." I smiled.

"And you never told me?" My mom asked. She looked hurt, and I felt bad.

"Only because whenever I brought up dad, you would get upset, and I thought that if you knew I knew, you would get mad at me. I'm sorry." I said, kissing her forehead softly.

"And you acted dumb when you first came why?" Annabeth asked. She still looked like she was mad at me.

"By then, telling the truth never occurred to me, the truth scared me, and I found comfort in lying." I shrugged.

"And you decided to wait until now to tell us?" Piper asked. I looked down, spinning Riptide in my fingers nervously.

"Yeah, what was I suppose to do? It was so long ago, what was I suppose to say? And for the next 6 years of my life, I've done dumber stuff. I was desperate." I shrugged.
