5 years old Percy's POV

Things have been a bit more normal, ish. Gabe left about a month ago, some different country to get his hands on some illegal drugs. My wounds started to heal, my mom was able to take some more time off, because someone started sending us money.

I think it's Kronos, he had become fond of me, and I him. He said I shouldn't be living poorly, so that's why I believe it's him. I have a good reason too, it's valid. I wouldn't say that it's proven. He hasn't visited me lately.

Shane kept talking to me, and he treated me like he would someone his age, and I like that. He says his eyes see me as a child but his mind tell him that he's looking at someone with a wise soul. I enjoy his company. School has been hard for him, so has home. He often comes up to the rooftop we met at, and I do the same. All we do is talk and sleep. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm still friends with the kids my age that I met at the playground. I'm happy I did. I can tell we are going to get in trouble with each other.

I was knocked out of my thoughts by the sound of the door being broken down, and suddenly robbers filled the building. I jumped in shock, my hand reaching to the pocket knife I had under my pillow.

"You just casually keep a pocket knife under your pillow?" Parker asked with a raised eyebrow. I raised my arm defensively.

"Oh please, don't tell me you didn't do the same Mr 'I almost stabbed Percy because he snook into my apartment and woke me up.'" I laughed loudly while Parker blushed.

"You decided to wake me up, Percy, it's not my fault that I was having a dream about ninjas and junk." Parker said, sticking his tongue out.

"I still have the scar." I said pointedly and Parker blushed, but he didn't feel bad.

"I think I should be asking where you got the pocket knife from. I sure as hell never gave it to you." My mom said, crossing her arms and giving me a look that let me know that I better tell her or else I'm in deep trouble.

"I was having horrible nightmares at the time, of wars, of death, of violence. I think it might've been that movie I saw you watching one time." I shrugged.

"That doesn't explain how you got it." My mom said.

"I may or may not have stolen it from a store." I said nervously, rubbing my neck. I heard some people gasping. "I stolen a lot of things, the pocket knife being one of the cheapest." I shrugged.

"Give us your money and no one gets hurt!" One of the robbers said, holding up a gun. I jumped nervously. My mom was home at the moment, and she had one of her friends over at the time. I couldn't let them get hurt!

"Hey! How about you leave with your heads!" I shouted angrily, a smirk forcing itself onto my face. The men looked at me, and laughed.

"And what are you gonna do? You are a mere child!" One laughed, and I heard cluttering coming from the kitchen. Music was playing loudly, they couldn't hear anything. I laughed quietly to myself.

"You guys wanna know the biggest rule of fighting? Whether it be for fun or war?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. Both of them looked at me curiously, but still looked amused.

"And what's that?" One asked.

"Never, and I mean never, underestimate your opponent." I said, an evil grin forming on my form. The two men looked scared, but they stood there, fingers in the triggers of their guns. I moved quickly, my pocket knife souring through the air and empaling one in the eye, causing him to cry out in pain and pass out from blood loss. The other man stared in shock, staring at me. I quickly grabbed the fallen man's gun and pointed it at the standing man.

"What, what are you?" He asked in shock, firing bullet all around me, but not hitting me at all.

"I am a being that is far from your comprehension." I said, aiming the gun and shooting. The man fell limply on the ground, and I only stared. I heard my mom turn off the music and I rushed to dispose of the bodies and blood of the two.

"You killed someone!" Annabeth shouted angrily. Everyone was staring at me in shock, even the five mortals. I sighed.

"It wasn't me, just watch." I said.

Time seemed to slow down, stop almost. And suddenly Kronos was there. He looked at me pitifully.

"What did you do to me!" I shouted at him when we were on the rooftop. Kronos looked at me, sighing.

"I had killed the two. I had taken your body quickly, and killed them. I didn't put any of my powers in you for fear of you dying because of the power." Kronos said simply, staring at his hands, not guiltily, but sadly. He didn't mourn for the men he killed that probably had family's, who were probably just desperate for money so they could feel their kids.

"Why?!" I asked angrily. I didn't want to be used as a puppet, he knew that. It was the one thing I didn't want. I don't want to be used.

"Because they were going to kill you!" Kronos shouted back at me.

"What if I wanted to die?!" I shouted back.

"I didn't want you too!"

"Have you ever thought about what I wanted?!"

"What you want doesn't matter when it comes to life or death! The fates won't let you die anyways!" Kronos said, and that ended the argument.

"I have they're blood on my hands. I killed them, I didn't care when I had gained control. All I did was clean the mess you made. I'm a monster, right?"

"That's it? That's the end of the memory?! Who ends something like that right there!" Ares shouted angrily, continuing to shout horrible words towards the screen which had gone black.

"Yeah. I was knocked out or something. I don't know." I said, confused. I don't remember what happened, I just remember waking up in my bed. I shook my head at the thought.

"I think you're worse than me." Summer said with a laugh. I laughed with her.

"Ya see, here I was forced to kill em. You purposely tried to kill our teacher." I said with a laugh.

"It wasn't purposely." Summer scolded with a laugh. "For the millionth time, I thought I was in a game!" She said defensively.

"Still means you wished you could've kill her." Sophia said pointedly.

"She was a fake ass bitch. I didn't actually try to commit a crime, I just thought I was in a simulator, until I went to take off the VR glasses.... that went downhill fast." Summer said, getting lost in thought.

"I hope you know you aren't a monster." Jason said suddenly, and I jumped.

"I am. For years I watched people die without shedding so much as a tear." I said, looking at him. I couldn't help but look at Annabeth, who seemed to be thinking still.

"How often to people sit and watch the news, hearing that someone was unfairly killed and all we say is that it's to bad. No one sheds a tear unless they personally knew the person." Piper said, but I shook my head.

"Why do our friends deserve tears and strangers don't? People say every life matters, but how much do we care about a life that we had no part of?" I said. I heard a quiet 'ooh!' I didn't care, I could only give Parker a look, and he shut up. No one replied, no one needed to.
