It's been months and Yoongi and Jimin hasn't had a normal conversation except for a few short phrases. The younger wasn't reaching out to him.
Today was the day of the release of their comeback trailer and Yoongi was feeling excited to finally hear the song that the group has been forbidding him to listen to once it was produce. He felt bummed out that he was not able to listen to even a single syllable of it but finally he would be able to hear the love of his life sing a song regarding fortunate happenstances.
The others were all gathered up in the living room patiently waiting for the clock to strike twelve. All were happy and congratulating Jimin for his intro meanwhile Yoongi was just fidgeting in his seat. He was trying to contain his happiness and nervousness because he knew once he speaks it would all be awkward and he didn't want to cause something like that. So he waits there, counting down the seconds as the minute hand ticked closer to the number twelve.
Of course it wasn't only Yoongi who felt nervous and fidgety. All the members were because they all knew comeback was nearing. But most especially, Jimin was probably the most nervous of the group. His voice was gonna be heard by the one he dedicates this song to. Min Yoongi.
"Ya! I'm so excited." His Jin hyung exclaimed which were followed with 'me too's filling the entire living room. Only Jimin and Yoongi kept quiet, both breathing heavily. "Taehyung! Reload the page already. It's 11:59."
"But it's not yet 12, hyung!" The younger argued back and Jimin just laughed it off.
"Well, it's near."
"Stop arguing guys, we might miss midnight." Namjoon intercepted which put their short argument to a halt.
Meanwhile Hoseok and Jungkook both did the honor of opening the newly uploaded video from BigHit while the others chattered their asses off. "Hyungs, shh! It's starting!"
Jimin felt, well, flattered that their youngest was eager to see his comeback trailer. He sure didn't expect that same silent enthusiasm that Yoongi was giving off. A small genuine smile and eyes emitting imaginary sparkles as he observed the younger from the screen. A few soft 'woah's that kept the latter in a daze.
They love each other, yes. But this song was just something that would hopefully keep their relationship stronger. It's a make or break for them.
The intro was starting and Jimin didn't mind the screen. He was all in for Yoongi's reaction and only that.
"None of this is a coincidence
I'm just going with the flow"
That was the time that the older stole a quick glance towards the younger. Jimin was flustered. He remembers how the older always compliments his voice. It's been months. He misses that. Jimin misses him.
"The world is different from yesterday

As if I've been waiting

Maybe it's the way of the universe

"You know" he mouthed to himself and he definitely didn't expect the older mouth back the words, "I know"
And with that, he was more than joyous.

Because destiny keeps getting jealous of us

Yoongi steals a quick glance from the younger again before directing his eyes back to the screen. He fiddles with his fingers and the younger notices right away.
"The universe has moved for us
Without missing a single thing
Because our happiness has been planned

"I'm your calico cat

"Just let me love you"
"Just let me love you" he mouthed once more as he caught the older glance.
"Ever since the universe was first formed

And the screen turned black, the members once again started chattering but the noise was nothing for the two who were lost in their own world. Yoongi kept smiling, his gums showing and his cheeks puffing up and Jimin was just there to admire such masterpiece.
But they knew it was only the calm before the storm. They knew they had to talk.

"Jimin, I..." Yoongi was at loss for words. "Y-you were amazing."
"Hyung..."
"I... I'm sorry I made you feel that way... That you're not my boyfriend when you basically were. I know it's horrible, I'm horrible." Yoongi blabbered his thoughts but only one soft touch of a Park Jimin on his cheeks made him stop and once again lost words in an instant.
"Yoongi hyung..." he mumbled softly. "I also made a mistake. Instead of choosing to listen to you and your worries, your fears that I am supposed to help you overcome with, I chose to close my mind and let my emotions overpower me. I-I'm so sorry, it's my fault we broke up. It's my fault that we're both hurting. You don't deserve me."
Yoongi shushed him for a moment and spoke up. "I don't deserve you because you're an angel, more superior than me. You don't deserve to be hid and kept a secret. You deserve better. And I'm so sorry."
"Hyung, it's not your fault."
"Well, it's not your fault, Jimin. You had every right to reject an asshole like me." He muttered, eyes meeting the ground beneath him. The younger took his lover's right hand into his palms and gave him a sad smile.
"Hyung, look at me." He called and Yoongi instantly did as he was told. "I shouldn't have let my emotions speak. I let my fears get the best of me and it wasn't the best ending. It was a big misunderstanding. I'm sorry, hyung."
"I'm so sorry too, Jimin. I don't deserve you."
"Because you deserve more than I am."
"But you're already the most precious to me and nobody else could top that."
Jimin's smile made its way to his eyes forming an eye smile. At the same time, Yoongi gave him the biggest gummy smile and the warmest hug that he's missed for months. His fave was snuggled comfortably on the latter's chest and Jimin couldn't ask for more at that moment. "I love you so much, hyung. You know?"
"I know, baby. I love you too, so much."
"Ah~ I missed this, hyung." He whined and giggled, a few hot tears making it's way from his eyes to Yoongi's shirt.
"Don't cry, baby. Don't cry." Yoongi carefully caressed the younger's head in his arms.
And when they finally thought they both could be in peace and quiet,
"FINALLY!"
And at that moment, the whole dorm was chaos with lots of bickering and teasing for the couple who just had a comeback before the whole group's.
