The ride from the airport to the Abattoir wasn't as long as the twins had hoped but spending the entire drive belting out the lyrics to the various pop songs that came up on the radio seemed to be an immediate remedy to their nervousness. Even Rebekah sang along to a song or two. During the intermission Faith taught Hope the lyrics to the song she had sung to her just hours before. Hope probably wouldn't remember but at least she got the gist.
When they pulled up to the Abattoir, the compound seemed almost daunting. Of course seeing Aunt Bex rip their father a new one was going to be worth whatever conversations came next. For Hope that conversation is going to be about the fact that she outed herself to the whole school. For Faith that conversation was probably going to end in tears. Either way the two would face it together.
As they pulled their bags out of the trunk Rebekah hadn't moved from the drivers seat. With her cheaply bought shoulder bag on her shoulder, Faith went up to Rebekah's window and she rolled it down.
"I'm going to go for a bite, girls, don't let the yelling start without me!" She said and backed out of the driveway.
"Don't eat the locals!" Shouted Faith at the retreating car. It didn't look like her Aunt acknowledge her which resulted in her giving Hope an exasperated look.
"C'mon let's go inside, I don't think anyone is home." Hope held out her hand. "Hold my hand so you don't get nabbed on the way."
"Ha. Ha. Wow, my sister is a comedian." Faith sneered as she took her sisters hand anyway.
Hope laughed and the two walked inside the empty place. Hope pulled her sister towards the stairs but Faith pulled her hand away as she headed towards the kitchen.
"I need to get my phone. I've been apart from my child for tooo long!" Hope chuckled at her sister she made her way up to her room, leaving her sister to grab her phone on her own.
Faith grabbed her phone from off the counter where she left it and huffed as she realized it was dead. Walking out of the kitchen and heading to the stairs she stopped in her tracks once her mother walked through the front door. Faith froze emotionlessly, not for one second portraying how she actually felt.
"Where the hell have you been?! Your school called and said you weren't there today." Instead of her mother looking relieved and thankful that her child was unharmed after being missing for four days, Hayley looked downright angry.
"When did you get the call?" Questioned Faith, still no emotion betraying her features.
"I asked you a--"
"When did you get the call?" Questioned Faith once again more forcefully. Hayley looked taken back by her daughters back talk.
"A couple hours ago, now are you going to answer my question?" Asked Hayley, back to Angry Mom mode. The answer to Faith's question just made Faith angrier.
"I've been missing since Friday." Faith answered with cloudy eyes betraying her emotionless expression.
"What--?"
"Kidnapped for the eleventh time now and once again no one noticed." Said the daughter bitterly, clutching her phone in her hand so tightly it was shaking. Hayley approached Faith only for her to take a step back.
"Faith, what happened?" The mother asked softly trying her best not to escalate the situation. It was clear to her now that her daughter was upset-- no, angry. She's seen Hope's temper tantrums; magic making objects and/or furniture fly everywhere, but never Faith. Now that she thinks about she's never seen Faith this angry at all.
