August 1975
It's been a month since we got stuck here, a month since I met Queen and a month since the best of my life started. A week after I was asked by Freddie himself, I accepted the offer. They immediately fixed all the paperwork and fortunately, everybody welcomed be warmly. By the time, I grew close to the boys which is a gift to me and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want it to be any different.
"EAT? That's real lame Rog!" Brian exclaimed as he saw Roger's word making all of us laugh. "At least I didn't have to pass. Unlike someone." Roger huffed and rolled his eyes. It's clear that he's getting frustrated. "Hey! Are you talking about me?" John said, folding his arms to his chest. We continued for a few turns until Brian used up all his tiles gathering 64 points and totalling to 312 points. Me following close with 276, John with 251, Freddie with 249 and lastly, Roger with 237 points. Roger groaned and tried to get out of the room when Freddie stopped him.
"Oh, no no no. Not so fast blondie." He smirked. Roger once again tried to run away but Brian was quick to block his way. He sighed in defeat and sat back down.
The boys and I decided to play Scrabble after rehearsing a few songs. Well, they practiced singing with me and practiced my exchange of verses with Freddie. Before we started, we made a rule that the loser will clean the recently broken extra storage room. The roof on that part of the studio wasn't fixed yet and it just rained last night so the room must be soaked.
"We prepared the mop for you actually." Brian said, handling Roger the mop to which he looked with so much disgust. "There's no f***king way that I'm doing this." He said refusing to get the mop but John held a couple of drumsticks in front of him. His eyes widened and immediately took the mop from Brian. "So, while Roger dry that empty storage room, we're having our break and NO ONE is going to help him." Freddie said and we all laughed, except for Roger who just rolls his eyes.
Roger unwillingly got up to go to the storage room while we went on separate ways. Freddie and Brian went to who knows where and John went to the backroom to make himself cheese on toast. He asked me but I told him I'll buy coffee from the cafe down the street.
Once I got there, the smell of coffee hit my nose. Thankfully, the cafe wasn't too crowded and nobody noticed me. The band has introduced me as their fifth member the moment the paper works have been finished and I'm glad the fandom accepted me. The girl in the counter greeted me. I ordered myself some iced coffee. She asked me if there is anything else then I suddenly remembered Roger and his ridiculously specific sugar measuring. "I'll also get a plain coffee. Uh, can I put the sugar in that one?" The girl smiled. "Of course ma'am. I assume it's for Mr. Taylor?" I smiled and nodded. Soon, my order came with a separate pack of sugar and a small measuring cup. "We always got complaints about not getting Mr. Taylor's coffee right." I looked up to see the girl from earlier. "Well, Roger got that weird amount sugar craving." I laughed as I finished measuring his one and three seventh sugar. I poured it in the coffee and mixed it. I payed the girl and gave her a tip before leaving.
Once I got back from the cafe, I quietly entered the building and went to the storage room Roger was forced to clean, careful to not be seen by the others because I wasn't supposed to be here. I finally got to the storage room, quietly entered and leaned on the door frame. i watched him as he mopped the floor with an annoyed look on his face. "I'm never losing that f**king game ever again. F**king scrabble." he muttered under his breath which made me giggle.
"Allison?! Hell, you scared me!" He said, clutching his chest which made me laugh harder. " Sorry. Hey, I got you coffee." I said, taking a sip on my iced drink. He raised an eyebrow at me before shaking his head. "You're not supposed to be here." He grinned before taking the coffee from me. "I know." He took a sip from the coffee and gasps. Okay? Now what? "How is it?" I asked, worried that I didn't got it right. "Woah. You know, they never get my coffee the way I like it but they somehow got it correct this time." Whew, I got it right. "I actually made it." He almost spit his coffee when he what I said. He looked at me with wide eyes. "No way." I just smiled at him, he looks so cute with that look. A few minutes was spare with us talking and Roger trying to get over the fact that I made the perfect coffee for him.
I eventually found a spare mop so I can help him dry the room and get rid of the waters. I was mopping the corner when I felt water being splashed on me. I glanced at Roger and saw him kicking the water hard with a smirk on his face. I glared at him and splashed him as well. "Oh its on!" He said before waving his mop so the water will get to me. "Oh it is!" I copied his actions and we started swinging the mops like swords. He managed to get my sword out of my grip and it flew on the other side of the room. I started to run away from him but my foot slipped on the water. I expected to hit the water but I never got in contact with it. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Roger holding me. That's when I wished I didn't open my eyes at all. Our faces are dangerously close and I got a good look of his eyes. Those ocean blue eyes are now staring back at me. His gaze moving from my eyes to my lips and he slowly started leaning in and his eyes fluttered close. I started leaning in too, expecting to feel his lips on mine but I accidentally hit his foot making him lose his balance, pulling the both of us to the floor.
"Oh my god. We're soaked." I said while he laughed at me. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed because who wouldn't be disappointed anyway? "Hey don't laugh! Now I need to think of an excuse to why I'm wet." He stood up and offered his hand to me. "This reminded me of how we met." He stated. "But now I fell too" He laughed once again and I just roll my yes at him. "Seriously though, the last time this happened, I met a rockstar, the second time, I'm a rockstar. What will it be next time?" My life has been different since I met Roger and the boys. Never would I thought that I would be like this back in 2016. "Who knows but I'm sure it'll be something better."
After a few more minutes, we finally finished drying the storage room. I took Roger's empty cup to throw it myself so the boys wouldn't think that I helped him. Nobody's supposed to help Roger clean it anyway. I also asked him to wait for a moment before going in so we won't enter at the same time. On my way to the recording room, I threw the two cups and then entered the room.
"Hey Alli-- What happened to you?" John eyed my now less soaked shirt making Freddie and Brian turn to me as well. "Uh-- i-it rained?" I said mentally cursing myself for the lame excuse. "I'm quite sure it didn't darling." Freddie said. Okay... think, think, think. "Well, that's what I thought at first then I realized it was a kid playing with his water bottle. " I sighed in relief when they seemed to buy it. "Okay? Are alright though? Do you need to change? I got an extra shirt." Brian offered, a little concerned because the air conditioner is on so he said I might catch a cold. "That would be lovely Brian thank you." Brian grabbed his extra shirt and handed it to me. I went to the bathroom and quickly changed. When I got back, Roger's still not there. I sat in between Brian and John while Freddie is playing with the keys of his piano.
We all stopped talking when the door burst open revealing Roger. Freddie saw him and gasped. "Are you actually smiling right now?" He asks, disbelief in his eyes. It's clear that he expected Roger to be mad or something. "What? Water is fun! You guys are missing out." He announced before sitting in front of me, Brian and John before secretly sending a wink at me making me laugh.
