also sorry i kinda died it's been hectic for me these past few weeks

hours had passed, i ended up staying with my new friends. alex invited us to go up to his room, since his parents were out on the boat somewhere.

"so..." alex sat down on his bed, facing all of us.

"which one of you has a juul?"

"what's a juul?" i asked, confused. alex and nick began laughing at me.

"what?!" i shouted, sitting down on the bed across from alex.

"it's a vape! seriously, do you not know what a juul is?" nick asked, pulling something out of his pocket. it looked like a usb drive, i was confused.

"what the hell? no one at my school does that kinda stuff, southern parents would MURDER you." nick shrugged and took a hit, blowing smoke out and sucking it back in.

"let me get it." alyssa said, holding her hand out. nick handed it to her and she did the same thing.

they all took turns with nick's juul, then alyssa pulled something else out of her pocket. it was a shiny, sparkly thing. it had a black tip on it, i had no clue what it was.

"what is that?" i asked, confused.

"a novo, it's similar to a juul but better on my opinion." nick rolled his eyes.

"yeah right lyss, novos are nowhere NEAR as good as juuls."

niall nodded in agreement, apparently he smoked as well?

"come on, try it!" alyssa held her novo out to me. i shrugged and began to take a hit. i coughed really hard, and everyone started laughing.

"ah, such virgin lungs." niall patted my back. i scrunched up my nose.

"oh hush, not to flex on y'all but i don't have a nicotine addiction." i crossed my arms, giving niall a dirty look.

"try it again! only if you want to, though." alyssa nodded towards the novo.

"actually, this might be easier." nick handed over his juul.

"fine, fine..." i shook my head, taking a hit out of nick's juul and actually managing to not cough this time.

"she didn't cough!" alex shouted, beginning to clap as if i accomplished something. all four of them began to clap for me, and i just handed alyssa and nick their stuff back.

"we should go up to the buffet and get ice cream, i'm kinda in the mood for some." nick stated, jumping off the bed.

we all got up and left alex's room, taking the elevator to go upstairs.

as we sat in the elevator, i noticed nick pull his juul out again.

"you can't just use that in here!" i whisper-shouted. nick shrugged and took a hit like he always does.

"no one even cares, just chill out." he reassured me, and i rolled my eyes again. the elevator stopped at the 10th floor and we all got out, going to the buffet area.

the ice cream machine didn't have a line for once, so we all got cones and began to use it. i got chocolate, everyone did except for alyssa.

"vanilla is the superior flavor." she stated. we all began to disagree with her.

"it's so boring!" alex replied, beginning to eat his chocolate ice cream.

we all nodded in agreement, alyssa rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"where to now?" niall asked, eating his ice cream as well.

"basketball courts?" nick suggested. we all mutually agreed and took the stairs up only one more floor to the court. there were a group of boys already playing a game.

"damn it! i wanted to play." nick grumbled, finishing his ice cream already.

"better luck next time, bud." alyssa patted his back, laughing a bit.

"we all have to go down to my room tonight, i have to show you guys something." alyssa told us, i nodded and looked over at the basketball court again.

we all sat there and watched all the other boys play basketball, but i began to get really tired.

"i'm exhausted." i sighed, leaning on niall a bit and closing my eyes. he moved his arm around me and i leaned into him even more.

"take a nap." he smiled, and i curled up a bit, already beginning to fall asleep.
