"Move FASTER. Look over your shoulder, James! John, watch your left! Rick, ATTACK! Just don't defend! Lydia, I swear I will tear your hide if you move any slower!"I was taking rounds across the training ground. My pack, the Silver Mountain Pack, was the largest, strongest, and most feared in the country.
'And with good reason,' my wolf said. You are the fiercest of them all.
I felt Jordan, my Beta, mindlink me. I immediately let him in, as he only mindlinks me during emergencies.
'Alpha, the patrol caught two rogues on the Raven border. One of the defeated Felix.'
My eyes widened and I immediately rushed to clearing at wolf speed. Felix was my Gamma and Incharge of training each of the eight hundred pack members. If someone defeated Felix...
I soon emerged in a clearing, where my border patrol of thirty soldiers had formed a circle around two rogue wolves, who looked tired and unkempt. One of them had dirty blond hair, fair skin and held his head high, but maintained a defensive position. His eyes flicked from one soldier to next, judging them. I noted how his graze was trained to search the enemy for weakness.
The other had dark black hair and an unkempt beard. His face and body was hidden from me, as he had kept his hold on Felix, who was lying defeated on the ground.
The man with the blond hair shouted, "Call Alpha Riley! We had entered for a hospitable requested visit and were beaten at entry. Call him now or I will kill your Gamma."
Yes, no one knew that me, the feared Alpha Riley, was actually a female, except for my own pack members, of course. I slowly emerged from the trees. Slowly, not because I was afraid, but I emitted power in each step, forcing him to obey my Alpha aura.
The blond guy held his eye contact with me with difficulty, but then turned his eyes to check me out. However, I could tell that his gaze was educational, not perverted. I knew what he saw- a tall, slim and fit woman, with a toned body. I was wearing black shorts and a black sports bra, and my hair were braided. I saw him make up his mind. He probably thought I was the Luna or Alpha's sister.
He continued, "Call him, and tell him how my servant managed to capture your Beta." The dark haired man gave him a glare, which didn't go unnoticed by me. I wondered whether they had internal conflicts going on- that could be useful for interrogation.
I mind linked my warriors, 'NOW!'
All of them surged at the two men, and after a few seconds of struggle, my thirty men overpowered the two. It was unbelievable. How were these rogues so powerful? My warriors were fast, strong and intimidating. How could two rogues be their equivalent?
Felix emerged from the rising dust and came towards me, head bowed. He sank on one knee and kept quiet. I knew what he wanted. Once the Alpha, Beta or Gamma were defeated, they were killed and replace in my pack. Felix had admitted his mistake and was waiting for my orders.
However, I surprised him by saying quietly, "Get up. Not only are you are a good fighter and Gamma, you are also closest to the only family I have. This time, the mistake was not yours. There is something off about these wolves. They are too powerful. But you should know, this is the first and last time I will accept your defeat to a non-pack member. Next time, I will remove you from your position."
I turned back to the clearing. Both the rogues were glaring at me. They probably now thought that I was Luna. Well, let them think that.
I shouted over to my Commander of Forces, "Lexi, carefully escort these prisoners to Cell A."
Cell A were most secured, B for minor infringes, and C for other purposes.
Lexi mind linked me, 'Alpha, shall I interrogate them as well?"
I shook my head grimly, "No, I'll do that myself tomorrow morning."
------------------
I left them for 8 hours in silver chains, without any food or water to weaken them and make them desperate. Yet, when I headed to the Cells, the blond one seemed fit, his spirit unbroken. Lexi followed me, as did Jordan. I entered blondie's cell first as he seemed the leader.
He was hanging from the chain from the roof, bare chested, his muscles ripping and thick. I looked him straight in the eye.
He smirked at me and said, "What? Alpha tucked his tail between his legs and ran, sending his mate to ask me the usuals. Does my big, bad wolf form scare you, Luna?"
I snarled at him, and punched him hard that the chains broke off. NO ONE talks to me like that. He was now lying on the floor, with a broken nose, and probably a broken jaw too.
I grabbed his hair, and pulled his face close to mine. "I will ask you one time. Who are you, where do you come from and why did you enter my territory?"
He let out a laugh. "You think this is pain. I have been trained for so much more, little girl."
Lexi took a sharp intake of air.
"What," I growled at his words, "did you call me pup?"
Jordon replied from behind me. "Alpha, two more rogues were just spotted and one is injured. I will bring them in."
At hearing Jordan call me Alpha, blondie's head swapped right at me and emotions squinted at his face- confusion, disbelief, and finally, fear.He tried to mask it, but I caught on.
"You ar-are Alpha Riley?" His voice shook.
I smirked. "Heard of me, have you?"
I threw him on the ground and exited the cell.
"Throw them in, and call a meeting.
___________
There was pin drop silence. Meetings in my pack were orderly. Eight delta's which represented hundred pack members each, my Gamma, Beta, and me, at the head of the long table.
My Gamma controlled the warriors, and my Beta controlled the Delta's.
"How did they enter the clearing?" I asked quietly, but they all heard me. Felix spoke with submission, "We heard fighting and the patrols rushed towards the sounds. The two wolves ran off, but nearby two other wolves entered."
"Felix, fix it, NOW! I want revised plans, and patrol timings and orders changed by the next four hours."
I continued, "The blondie wasn't the leader. If he wasn't strong enough to face my punch, no way was he strong enough to be the leader. The dark haired man, who overpowered Felix," I shot him a dirty look, "was. And they were not friends. It is evident from their lack of communication, despite being in adjacent cells, lacking coordination and mutual dislike." I remember the glare they had shot one another. "Somehow, they managed to bring their fight on my lands."
"Unfortunately for them, I will interrogate them soon."
I turned to Jordan. " Find out why they are so strong." He bowed his head. I got up. " Dismissed."
Everyone waited till I was out of the door. I moved with Lexi towards the cells, for another round of interrogation, since his jaw would have healed by now.
However, I had no idea, that in the next cell, I would find a surprise in the dark haired man I had observed from a distance only a few hours ago.
