The Confrontation

It is now the weekend with no luck of getting close to a working ritual. Looking over at his trash bin, he noticed the pile of materials that were used in his attempts of summoning and realized that he may need more. Leaving his house didn't seem like such a good idea though since the purple haired girl may be roaming around and may target him. Tobirama wasn't scared of going outside but he has no information about the powers that the supernatural possess and Tobirama didn't like going into fights with no purpose and no chance of winning.

Something did catch his curiosity though and that's the increased amount of rumors circling around Kuoh town. The deaths seem to be slowing down but pictures still seem to be circulating. Some are edited or photoshopped but the rest seem to be real. He's surprised about how humans didn't notice them until recently or even any clue of their existence. They either want to be known which doesn't make sense since they could have just attacked a big group of humans in broad daylight, they are getting sloppy or don't care who sees them, or they come from somewhere else which may not be accessible to humans through a normal way.

This would support his theory with heaven and hell existing but why come to the human realm? It must have something to do with humans if Konan becoming friends with Asahi has anything to do with it. Recruitment for the bat-winged people? But why would they need humans? Shouldn't supernatural beings be stronger than normal humans? And why are the Fallen angels here? They just kill humans from what he had heard and experienced so are they just trying to relieve themselves? Angels who have fallen from gods grace had done it to serve Satan and satisfy their greed for power. The fallen may just be here to do what they want without the rules that they have to follow in the underworld. Answers lead to more questions. Annoying.

Normal human knowledge isn't doing anything to help him anymore so the only other way to learn is to contact a supernatural being. Konan seems to be the best option for him since summoning a random demon may lead to his death and she doesn't seem to be seeking blood. The only problem is that he wouldn't know how she would react to him knowing of the supernatural. Would she just kill him and keep their race a secret? Maybe rewrite his memories with a spell? Or would it all go good and they become the best of friends? Yea right, it's never that easy.

It's Monday and Tobirama is currently catching up to Asahi who is on his way to school. "Good morning Asahi" Trying to catch his attention and talk before Konan shows up. "Ah, good morning Tobirama, it sure has been a few days since we last talked" nodding his head in agreement, he decided to just ask the question that had been on his mind "Were you mad at me after the last talk that we had? Is that the reason you've been ignoring me?" No need to sugarcoat anything. The question did make his friend jump and rub his neck though. "O-oh, no that's not the reason. I was just confused about everything and forgot to talk to you. 'I figured that was the case'

"OH! You haven't met Konan yet, have you? She's the transfer student and we became good friends. We should run into her soon so I'll introduce you to her." Before Tobirama could pick Asahi's brain for more info on Konan she suddenly appeared in his peripheral lightly jogging towards the two. "Good morning Asahi. Who's this with you?" 'That perfect and innocent smile seemed a little too forced' putting that thought at the back of his head "Yea this is Tobirama. He's my best friend and rival in Kendo. He's a little shy but we can all be the bestest friends" Asahi beamed a smile while nudging Tobirama "Nice meeting you Tobirama" Konan offering a hand to shake. Tobirama just nodded and started walking in the direction of the school. He wasn't going to risk making physical contact with a magic wielder "I told you he was shy" He could briefly hear Asahi whisper to Konan behind him.

The Kendo club had now opened again and the regular routine from before can now continue. Well, the only difference is Konan walking together with Asahi towards the clubroom. She managed to convince their kendo teacher to allow her to spectate the club activities. She seemed to be interested in Asahi's skill with his sword but also kept glancing at Tobirama when they both dueled. Peaking her interests wasn't a problem since he may be able to get answers from her about what she actually is and what her goal is.

It also seems that her presence is making everybody in the club try their hardest with the goal of trying to impress and get stared at. Sadly their dream wasn't fulfilled and most of them slumped over from sadness or exhaustion. 'If only they knew what she wa- actually I don't think that would matter to them.'

After clubroom was over, people exchanged goodbyes, with mostly Konan receiving them, everybody left with the three walking back to their houses together. The conversation was mostly just Asahi and Konan with Asahi trying to get Tobirama to join in and Konan questioning Tobirama on how he got so good. He just gave half-hearted answers such as training from a young age and things like that. Asahi had left the group since his house was closer only leaving Konan and Tobirama left to walk. Konan was still asking questions with Tobirama still giving out bland answers.

Tobirama decided to ask a simple question that had the chance to either change or end his whole life forever. Stopping suddenly caused Konan to also stop and turn to face Tobirama, she had a confused stare which was replaced with wide eyes after hearing the question "What are you?" From Tobirama. It was only 3 words but it left both of them in a quiet stare off.

1,043 words chief let's get it. I'll try and post more sooner but no promises. School is almost over in a few weeks so during that I should have more time to write. I could even start writing daily again during the break but again no promises. Thanks for reading and have a nice day.
