It seemed months had passed but it had only been a week. Life seemed to be wasting away every minute of my life.

I pulled open the door to see Rose in a booth with a coffee in her hand.

"Hey, shouldn't you be in class?" I slid in opposite her.

"No I finished early. Besides I found who had your phone." I smiled at her.

"That's awesome, oh my god where is it?" Rose nervously chuckled.

"Now this is where it gets interesting." I leaned back crossing the arms.

"Winn, hi." I looked to see Rose standing up and giving him a hug.

"Hey Rose. Thanks for giving me a call." Rose looked to me and my face.

"No problem. So I lied and I should be in class so I've gotta run. But have fun." Rose then disappeared and I watched as she did so. She smiled as she got on her bike.

"I'm gonna kill her." I whispered to myself.

"You dropped your phone so I was going to go to your place and give it to you when I remembered I don't know where you live." I rolled my eyes as he placed the phone in the table.

"What is going on with you Amelia it's like you weren't even here. You just disappear and reappear whenever you feel like it."

"Winn it's complicated."

"No it's not, it really isn't." I took a drink from the coffee in front hoping that someone had placed alcohol within it.

"You think you know me. But you don't. Because guess what Winn, we were colleagues. That was it. Not friends. Now if you excuse me I have to go."

"Don't go." He grabbed my hand and I looked to him.

"We were friends, sorry we are friends but I need to know what is going on with your life." I shook my head.

"It's complicated."

"Well if you won't tell me then at least can you come to Cat's party tonight. Everyone misses you." I chuckled.

"You mean Kara and yourself."

"Yeah exactly, everyone." I rolled my eyes.

"Please just come tonight. I'll text you the details." I grabbed the phone and got out of the booth.

"I don't know." I shrugged.

"Just try." I nodded.

"See ya around Winn."

"Bye Lia." I walked out of the coffee shop and back to the club.

"I need tonight off." I told him.

"No. Absolutely not." I sighed.

"Max look I do everything you ask of me. I mean I haven't had a night off since I first got this job."
