"Here Miss Grant." I said as I handed her the canvas. She smiled as she looked at it.
"This is beautiful." I smiled as I took a sip from my water.
Cat looked to me and smiled.
"I'll see you after Thanksgiving, then at least it gives me time to fire someone." I was about to object but I then decided what the hell.
I stood and was about to grab the canvas before Grant pulled it closer to her.
"I shall be keeping this. Now good day Miss Johnston." I nodded and walked out of the office and closed the door behind me to see Winn and Kara standing there silently just looking at me.
"Well?" Kara asked.
"Umm... I got the job!" We all started squealing and shouting with happiness.
"Lia that's awesome!" Winn said and Kara nodded.
"It's gonna be so great having you back in the office." I nodded.
Kara gave me a hug before pulling away.
"We should celebrate." I shook my head at what Kara was saying.
"No no, no celebrations or anything needed. I'm just gonna chill and relax."
Kara nodded before she was called in Miss Grants office. She walked away and Winn looked to me.
"You heading to the lift?" I nodded and he walked with me.
"So what's uh your plans for thanksgiving?" Winn asked and I smiled.
"I'm out of town, I'm visiting my childhood best friend. Central City." He nodded as I pushed the lift button.
"Can I ask why?"
"I was just thinking if you wanted you could join me with Kara and her family." I shook my head.
"No sorry, I'm not even here for it." That was a lie.
"It's no problem, I'll see you when you get back." I smiled and walked into the elevator.
"Yeah you will." I told him in which he smiled and the elevator doors closed.
For the rest of the week I was trying to ease myself out the hours before I got wrong or I quit.
For Thanksgiving, Rose spent it at her families and allowed me her apartment. So I was sat in her pyjamas watching TV, sipping Wine.
Rose and I have become closer and now she's trying to force me to move in with her.
But I've told her that the apartment isn't big enough for two of us. So I would normally be in the club sleeping under the stage but instead I was here in an actual bed.
It was extremely boring but there was a city wide black out, because of this new meta-human called Livewire.
But I was back, and ready to go. I walked back out of the lift and as I walked around just remembering what it felt like to be here I saw Winn kiss Karas cheek.
