It was  now almost one week since I was out of a work. I managed to pay off few of my bills and there are some remaining like the water bill, cable bill and the rent that's due in 2 weeks time. Our fridge was almost empty and there isn't much food to serve us until I get a job. I sent out 2 applications and didn't get any phone call so I guess I am just bad lucked after all.
My mom says that I should not worry , I must have faith in God that he will bring us through this desert that we are going through in due time. But I am still worrying. I just can't stop worrying. But I have a little faith that things are not going to stay the same forever.

"Beep beep.. beep"
The beeping sound of my phone wake me up from my thoughts.
Sliding the screen I realise it was a  WhatsApp message from my friend Tina.

Hey girl
Tina,

I quickly replied and  made my way downstairs  where I mix a cup of frosted flakes and call Tina.
"Hey hello girl"
"Was up with you , u are not texting me and calling me like before, is something wrong that you are not telling me? Huh?", asked Tina
"Girl, I lost my job ".. Said layla
" You ! What!"?, yelled Tina.
"But how comes and you're one of there best employees, huh" ?

"Am not good enough anymore , I guess",  said layla sadly.

"Don't say that layla, u know ur always good enough".., said Tina in a convincing tone. How about we meet up huh?
" Okay , where tho"?

"How about I come pick u up"?

"Yeah OK", said layla.
We said our goodbye and I wash the cup that I was drinking from and made my way to my room where I take a shower and put on a   jeans pants and a baby blue  marina blouse along with my black flip flops .

15 Minute's Later

..Purp ...purp , Tina's car horn
I quickly ran downstairs and take up my purse and  lock the door. Park in front of my house is Tina's  black  Suzuki swift. Her parents bought it for her graduation present. Tina's parents are somewhat rich they can buy what they want. Tina's mother is a Doctor and her father is a member of Parliament(MP) for my community . Tina has been my friend since seventh grade, on my first day of high school I met her when I accidentally  push off her lunch box off the table with my school bag. I was surprise as to how she responded , she understand that it was an accident and she bought back her lunch and from that moment on we became friends.

"Girl come on  in the car", said Tina.
I quickly open the door to the front passenger seat and sit.
"So where are we going?" , asked layla.
" You'll see ", said Tina.
