chapter six

We were now parked outside of
Sovereign centre mall.
Tina had on a white polo blouse with writings on it and a blue jeans pants.
Tina park the car into the parking lot and we come out of it. We walk to the entrance of the mall and go to the elevator. She tap the 3rd floor button  and within 2 seconds we reach the floor.
On the third floor is beautiful, it was painted in peach and white. We stop in front of a red and white double door that has Mainland China  restaurant and bar  above it.
Wow its  just so beautiful ,painted in rose red and dark night black. Small green bulbs were hang all around the ceiling and some neatly arranged table and chairs.
 
Good Evening ," welcome to mainland China...  How may I assist"?, asked the waitress.

Tina give the waitress her information and now we are  seated at a table for two .
Tina hand me one of the menu books . it has the Jamaican , Indian and Chinese cuisines on it. I scan through the Jamaican part and I pick jerk chicken with fries and cheese sauce and  some pure country's fruit punch juice.
Tina orders her favourite sweet and sour chicken with Chinese rice and a shrimp cocktail with some non alcoholic champagne.

"Girl you've hardly been taking to me since last week , I always know when something is wrong with my girl". , said Tina.

  "Yeah you always know , its just hard to believe that I would get  fired from a job that I put my all in , and when I though that I was going to get a promotion.. Then boom! am fired, said layla in a sad tone.
Girl I know its hard to take in but please , just stop stressing your self out , you can get another work, said Tina.
 
" You don't understand,  I've always wanted to work with  that company.. It was like a dream come through for me and then now its chattered, I sent out applications  and I've not gotten any call for an interview, and I don't have any money for mom to buy any more food when the week is finish.

"I know that lay.. But sometimes things has to happen for us to move forward'.. And why didn't you tell me all of this before ,I can give you the money to buy what u need until you find a job hun.. "Said Tina in an convincing tone.
  

Tina just doesn't understand,her life is better than mine. She has both her parents who can help her and she doesn't have to work and save money to go to college. I have to work for what I want  , my life is not easy am poor.
 

Tina I don't wanna depend on you .. But I guess since I don't have any other choice am going to use your help., said layla.
 
OK I'm willing to help you so later I'll send 15 thousand dollars to your account , OK hun ., said Tina.
Tin wow that's more than what I expect.. Thank you , thank you very much , I really appreciate it.
Your welcome hun  , just always remember am here for you, OK .said Tina while squeezing the life out of we with her hug.
 
"Hmm, sorry to interrupt you guys but am here with your finger food, said the waitress  while putting two dishes of  barbeque wings in front of us.
  Mhmm, said Tina while devouring her dish of wings.
I dip two of my fingers in the dish and take out a wing and place it in my mouth. It was so spicy and nice, best wing's I've ever had.
Time went by quickly, we got our foods and ate off every thing and was now getting ready to leave mainland China restaurant. Its now midnight , I just couldn't believe ,  that the time flew by so quickly.
Tina paid with her credit card and now we're on our way outside to the parking lot .
Tina goes inside the car and I take my seat in the front passenger's seat.
I really enjoyed myself . tonight was really good night to get out of my problems. But am heading back home to the problems.
