Mr Duncan's Son

chapter 14

The next morning I woke up rubbing my eyes trying to get rid of the blurriness that  surrounded my eyes. Being able to see clearly I  tryed to get up I felt a  weight on my body. Looking down only to see a sleeping Tina with her left hand stretched in my hair , her two feet spread across my legs and her head hanging a little off the bed. I  just can't understand how a nineteen year old sleeps this bad. I grabbed my phone from the dresser and realized it was almost 6:30 a.m.. I still feel a bit sleepy but I don't have enough time to get any more sleep because I can't afford to be late.
After finishing my morning routine I went inside my room only to find Tina still asleep snoring like  a pig. Sounds so annoying and to make it even worse mouth water was  draining on my pillow. How could she do that ewww. After putting on my working clothes that didn't require any ironing I decided it was full time to wake up Tina . while  poking her and tickling in different places she was still sleeping . after getting a piece of thread and moving it over fer face she turned a bit and slap her self on her face. It was just so funny when she slap herself on her face maybe thinking that a mosquito bit her.
Finally she waked up stretching until I hear a "bluff" sound. She fell right off my bed landing on the floor . I couldn't contain my self I started laughing out loud immediately and the ediot  started to laugh after herself. Smh , Which person in their right mind falls of a bed unto a tiled concrete floor and laughs. All I know she is tough .
After leaving Tina to spread my bed I went downstairs for my breakfast that was prepared by my mom.
Half hour later I was at work. When I reached the store was opened already by Mr. Duncan. I didn't see Daniel so most likely he was not here as yet because his car was not around the back. Mr Duncan gave me some price updates on some plant chemical for me to update and some new items for me to pack out and put on the prices. That was what I did in the morning because there wasn't  really any customers. Lunch time Daniel came by with a girl  who looked a lot like him with  tall curly hair and a much clearer brown complexion . she was wearing school uniform and looked as if she was around 13 - 15 years old. When she saw me she told me good afternoon , atleast she had more manners than Daniel. And he just walked in looking at me as if he expected me to tell him good afternoon. When Mr Duncan came around he introduced his daughter ( Damecia) to me . she smiled at me and I told her that its nice meeting her. She was so cute and has respect unlike her stuck up brother. Later in the evening rain started to fall heavy and lighten was flashing and thunder was rolling terribly  nonstop. Even when it was time for me to go home the rain was still falling and it was gonna be very hard for me to reach home because I didn't have my umbrella and the Bus park  is about a 10 minutes walk. The time was getting late and the rain didn't stop falling. Mr Duncan was getting ready to lock up the store and he had to Carry Damecia to buy something's for her class practical. So he asked Daniel to drive me to the bus park to get a bus. He was hesitating and mumbling as if he didn't want to bring me there. But he had to listen to his dad and eventually he agreed to carry me there. He got his umbrella and gave me to shelter and ran towards the car to open it. He pulled opened the door of the  front passenger seat for me. And I shook off the umbrella and locked the door . he turned on the AC and the radio it was on fire 105 station playing "worth it" by YK Osiris. He was quiet the whole drive to the bus park. I turned to look at him and our eyes made four, Feeling embarrassed I turned away quickly and looked out my window and I could feel that he was looking at me again. I turned around same time to find him looking at me and when he realized he cut his eyes after me and kissed his teeth, That rude   little chimp  . I don't even know what to call him. 
When we reached the bus park he drives inside considering that the  rain was still falling heavy. While we reached at the  part where I got bus to go to my district there wasn't even a single bus. We sit in the car waiting for a bus . He turned off the radio  when  my favourite  song  "Toast" by koffe  started to play and I looked at him and he  started smirking, I just shake  my  head and roll my eyes after him.
30 minutes has already gone and I was feeling a bit hungry and I could see that Daniel was getting impatient of waiting for so  long .
"You know what I don't want to have you here waiting so long  on a bus with me , just leave me here and I'll find a way to reach home" , I said while breaking the silence.
"Are you crazy, do you wanna get sick? Look how the rain is falling..How can I left you here I'm not that cruel., replied Daniel while looking straight in my eyes.
   "  Stop acting like you care if I get sick or not ", I said while turning my head to look at him.
Kmt .. You know what I don't have time to argue with you am gonna bring you home.
I directed him to my community that was about a 20 minutes drive. When we reached my gate I told him thanks and that I'll see him the next day.  He just nod his  head and  speed off afterwards.  That little chimp.
When I reached inside mom was in the kitchen as always  and with Tina . I told them good evening and about why am here so late and also about Mr Duncan's son driving me home.  Tina winked at me and started smirking , I seriously don't know what as gotten into her. I just shake my head at her , stick out my tongue at her and ran upstairs to my room while locking the door behind me. Few seconds later I hear a knocking on the door and eventually I know it was Tina. After finish changing my clothes I  opened the door to let her in .
The rest of the evening was spent eating dinner with my mom and in the night Tina and I  talked again and she asked a lot of questions about Mr Duncan's son and if he's cute and all also if I like him I told her no because I know Tina way too much. She'll either find a way to my work place and tell him I like him or some other way. I kind a like him yes but am not gonna tell Tin as yet. She talked about her boyfriend Travis and that they are planning to go out for the weekend and she's carrying me along with her. I am not sure  if I want to go but I know I am going because Tina's gonna drag me out of the house.
Tina's parents are not home , they are out of the country so that's why she is at my house. She literally moved her entire belongings into my room and take over all the space on my bed. But I love her, she was always there for me when I doubted myself and wanted to give up. She was my shoulder to lean on when I felt like just giving up on life. I love my bestie .
