Mr Duncan's Son

The weekend went by fast than I expected. On Saturday Tina forced me to go on a double date with her cousin that is in university and a guy that is the son of a member of Parliament (Mp) and he is also a law student. Her cousin is really sweet and smart but he is not really my type. The date went better than I expected Tina and the MP's son Travis looked as if they are falling in love with each other and that's all what matters to me that Tin is happy. Sunday mom and I went to church , it was good.
I am now getting ready to go to work. I put on the clothes that I bought last week and comb my hair in one . and walk downstairs where mom was seated around the dining table sipping her tea from a mug. I tell her good morning and take a seat and begin to eat.
Feeling a bit nervous I push the door of Triple D and N agro store. The air conditioner was on and there wasn't any customers inside as yet. I walk up to the counter and present was the same cute guy from the store.
"Hi good morning I am layla fling is Mr Duncan here."
"Good morning , you must be the new worker I am Daniel my father is not here as yet so I'll show you around and what to do."
OK ". He looked so much cuter close up. I followed behind him like a lost puppy and he showed me how to use the cash register, how to take orders and log delivery from company's. His tone when speaking alone would make any girl look at him.His eyes had this piercing dark brown color that just made me want to focus on them all day.

By lunch time I had over 25 customer's some buying feeds for their animals and others buying chemicals, majority of them are male. When it was my lunch time I walked to a nearby CookShop and bought a box lunch with rice and peas with steam vegetable and bake chicken with a box drink. It was very delicious I enjoyed it. When my lunch time was fifteen minutes from being up I decided to go back to my work place. Daniel was around the counter with his hands and eye glued to the phone and a smile plastered on his lips. He is always on his phone if its not talking it as to be texting. Sometimes I wish I could be able to text persons on my phone and talk and laugh and smile like Mr. Duncan's son but I only have like three persons on my WhatsApp Tina, Gabby a friend from high school who lives in the US now and Tina's cousin Tee-jay and Tina and I text sometimes when she is not busy and Gabby text me most times to tell me either happy birthday and happy holidays in Christmas, as far as I see my life is very boring I can't even remember the last time I went to somewhere that I really like.
Acknowledging my presence he looked up from his phone with the smile still on his face.
"Miss Fling you're back early how was lunch"?, asked Daniel
It was OK.., replied layla while smiling.
He pulled the door and I go through it and into the cash register room. He was still seated around the register and a customer came in and he served the customer.
When my lunch time was up he went to his father's office and I finish ruling up the delivery books and look for other things to do to keep me occupied. 6:30 came by quickly and I checked off the money , wrote the among in the log book and gave Daniel the key who was already locking up the store.
"See you tomorrow Miss Fling", said Daniel.
Yeah tomorrow, layla.
  By the time I reached home it was already 7:00 and the place was dark.  Mom was in the living room watching news and i called to her and she asked about my first day at work and I told her about everything even about Daniel and she smiled.
