Mission failed

"What are you up to?" I ask Missy and Alicia confused as I enter my dorm room to see them together.

"Ugh- something stupid" Alicia assures me with a pointed glare directed towards Missy.

"Don't listen to her, she hasn't been converted yet" Missy says and I raise an eyebrow.

"Let me guess? The weird psychic chick tried to make you pay to tell the future?" I ask and Missy sighs.

"No. Don't say that about her, she'll know" Missy says and I roll my eyes.

"You are pushing me, girls. What is it you are actually doing?" I ask confused as I sit down on my desk, dumping my bag onto the ground.

"Alright so. Alicia has this little game and in the game you're like a person and you can go around and give people this potion thing that makes them like you more. So I told her there is something you can do in real life like that and she was like 'nah' and I was like 'yeah-"

"And where'd you find this sketchy potion thing?" I ask and Alicia cuts her off before she can start talking.

"In a magazine" Alicia says and I sigh but Missy shakes her head.

"Right- look I can do it right now and... Jay! You can be our test subject!" Missy says pulling out a bowl of ingredients.

"Place finely diced red peppers in the bowl. That's for passion, Rose petals for romance, something pink for cuteness- aka pink lemonade drink powder. Then finally a cup of sugar for sweetness then something warm for warmth-"

"Please tell me you didn't bring fire to my dorm" I say and Missy cringes.

"Welll... we had a warm cookie. But it's not so warm anymore- pass me that potplant" Missy says and I glance to the plant on my windowsill.

"Oh no. Don't hurt Jeremy" Alicia jokes and I roll my eyes. Okay so maybe I named a plant after Jeremy but to be fair they have a lot in common.

Green, doesn't like to be touched, just wants to be left alone, doesn't talk. Okay and maybe I was drunk when I named the plant.

"You named your plant?" Missy asks with a confused expression.

"I was inspired" I say grabbing Jeremy, the plant, and giving it to Missy.

She digs up a bit of dirt from the pot then puts Jeremy down on the table.

"Please tell me you're not gonna put dirt in it" Alicia says and Missy dumps the dirt into the bowl.

"Dirt warmed by the sun- It'll be fine. Now, two cups of sparkling water for a spark, perfume for alluringness" Missy says pouring perfume into the bowl and I frown.

"That shit is toxic now, you know that, right?" I ask and Missy shakes her head.

"It's fine- Trust me. Now just shake it around and when you being to shake you need to say the name of your love out loud and in your heart, here ya go" Missy says passing me the bowl.

"Ekk, well in honour of my plant. Jeremy" I say and Missy frowns.

"You can't choose a plant" she says and I roll my eyes.

"I really worry about you sometimes, Missy. I mean the human Jeremy.... you know, Jeremy king?" I say and Alicia hums in thought.

"I was not expecting that.. I thought you and Everett were a thing" Alicia says and I shrug.

"Nah. Can we just get this over with though." I say shaking the mixture together and after a few moments Missy snatches it from my hands.

"It's done- now we just have to present it to Jay's love" Missy says and I shake my head.
