The heavy storm had finally lifted. The storm had been around for almost three days, making chores harder to do.
Mr. Tall had been walking around the small river that surrounded the Cirque's camp. As he walked around, he noticed a young girl unconscious by the river. Mr. Tall had debated on taking the girl to make sure she was healthy. There was a small part of him that told him that the young girl was a freak like everybody.
Mr. Tall had brought the young woman into his tent and laid the woman in the bed. She was completely limp as she was placed onto the bed. Mr. Tall had closed off his tent as he began looking for Madame Truska.
The first place Mr. Tall looked was in Madame Truska's tent. He was relieved that he didn't have to look very hard for her.
Madame Truska looked at Mr. Tall; knowing something was wrong. "What's wrong?" She asked. She studied his movements.
"I found an unconscious girl by the riverside. She is not normal like other humans. I need you to come to look at her," Mr. Tall explained very vaguely.
With that, Madame Truska and Mr. Tall headed to Mr. Tall's tent. There were some looks from the other freaks, but they knew not to question anything. Mr. Tall let Madame Truska walk into the tent first.
Madame Truska softly gasped, walking over to the unconscious girl. Madame Truska quickly looked over the girl, making sure there was nothing severe wrong. She tried to think of what kind of freak that this young woman might be. Without saying anything, Madame Truska moved the very end of the girl's dress to see some scales on her legs.
She gently shook her head. "It would appear that Evra's not the only one with scales, Mr. Tall," she said while she looked at him.
Mr. Tall walked towards the women. Madame Truska pointed to the small clusters of scales along the girl's legs. "Only thing is that this young lady is more aquatic," Madame Truska finished.
"How can we make sure that we keep her alive and well?" Mr. Tall asked.
Madame Truska thought for a few moments. "We could make sure that she gets some sort of moisture onto her body; But nothing too great. Otherwise, it is simply a waiting game for her to wake. But she will wake. Something tells me that she will wake within a day," She looked at Mr. Tall, "We should tell the others."
Mr. Tall nodded, "I think it would be best to tell them after she wakes."
Madame Truska continued to look at Mr. Tall. "Here's another question for you then, where shall she stay until she becomes conscious?"
Mr. Tall sighed with a slight shrug. "I was thinking that perhaps you should spare the extra room with her. Considering you have a spare room that you can easily move her into. You will just have to have a changing screen to block anybody from seeing her," Mr. Tall said with a gentle tone.
