"Babe slow down" Rose repeats "you are going to crash into something."
"I know how to drive, i know what I'm doing" i snap back frustrated "I was taught how to drive by my captain"
Rose leans over and puts her head on my shoulder... My one weakness is her puppy dog eyes on my shoulder "pweese? For me? I don't wanna get hurted" she says in her baby voice... She knows that she can sway me with that voice anytime and she chooses to do it while I'm driving.
I feel my foot slowly letting up on the gas petal... I'm screaming inside, why cant i stop myself... I struggle for about half a mile but finally give in and slow to the speed limit. I look over to her and say sternly "if we get caught and die, i blame you" i kiss her nose and get off at the next exit.
"Ahh beautiful Rainwood. Here we are" i roll down the windows and let the summer breeze flow through the car. I turn the car onto an old tattered road and drive slowly to a small log house. It's only 6:45 in the morning and the few animals that were around were still asleep.
I looked over to Rose, her eyes closed and her face relaxed. She always falls asleep around me. She doesn't have the best living arrangements with her parents and she doesn't sleep well at night but they try to understand her. They gave us their blessing to move in together next year because she seems to be happy with me.
"Hey Rose?" I sang softly
"Hmm?" She looked up at me with her eyes still closed
"Wake up baby girl, we're here" i smiled seeing as what I would get to do next.
"Ohkay" she whispered still half asleep. I watched as she leaned back against the door. It looks like she isn't going to wake up soon.
I rolled the window down and walked around the back of the truck. I slowly picked up her head off the door and opened slowly. I leaned over and pressed the latch of the buckle. She let out a small laugh as it grazed her stomach. As I got my arms under her legs and back, she seemed to roll onto my chest. I picked her up out of the truck slowly.
I softly whispered in her ear "you know, you rarely let me pick you up... I guess i have to take every opportunity tho" i then had the biggest smile when she wrapped her arms around my neck and let out the cutest little snore.
I kicked the door slowly shut and walked to the cottage. I kicked the door in a knocking manner and waited for it to open. The butler standing at the door showed me inside to where i could lay my precious Rose. As i set her on the couch, i kisses her forehead and whispered "I'll be back my Rosebud" i saw a smile climb across her face and her cheeks turn bright red.
I went to the butler and handed him a letter. He skimmed through it and wanted to the wall phone and called his master. I walked back over to Rose and picked her head up slowly. As i sat down, i set her head in my lap and threw a blanket over her.
"Yes sir... I understand... It says 'bring the garnet and get the agent, but leave the garnet and i get 2 agents, take your pick'... Yes sir... Yes sir... Have a good day sir." The butler walks in and speaks softly "Master Bohannon has informed me that you will be staying here until he returns from the field. He shall be back upon the hour so please help yourself to what you please and if you need me, just call"
"Thank you" i whisper to him

"Sam?" James says as he walks in "how have you been"
Rose opens her eyes slowly "wha... Who is this?"
"This" i said softly "is James Bohannon, he was the driver for our field missions 4 years ago. James, this is my girlfriend Rose"
James smiles "Welcome Rose, it's nice to meet you... You obviously know about the organization so my only question is this;" James turns around and presses a button on a remote. Suddenly a wall moves revealing a weapon arsenal "Which one would you like to have?"
