"Tae!....... Tae,wake up!"

Taehyung let out a tiny whine as he shifted on his bed ;eyes still hooded.

"Tae; please! Get up!",he heard his mother's alarmed voice.

Little Taehyung pouted but obeyed his mother nonetheless. He sat up groggily and rubbed his sleepy eyes.

The duchess went towards Jennie's bed and woke the girl up too.

She handed her a set from her regular attires and hurried,-

"Jennie, hurry up baby ~ We don't have much time to prepare for everything!"

As Jennie was getting ready with her little, hasty hands, their mother made Taehyung leave his and Jennie's shared bedroom and brought him to the small storeroom infront of the rooftop,which was the usual secret hideout to the little vampire.

"Tae... listen to me very carefully. You have to stay here no matter what, alright? Don't go anywhere until me or Abbeoji comes to bring you... understood?", she whispered, cupping and caressing the boy's face with her almost shaky hands.

"Eomonie ~", Taehyung complained in his whiny voice; his pout growing as he felt extremely sleepy.

The duchess frowned and hugged her son firmly against herself.

"I'm sorry honey..! Eomonie didn't want to wake you up this early. But, baby... Eomonie has no choice. The... the Queen has arrived at this early hour of the morning! This is not a good sign, Tae and.... even your Abbeoji has gone to the west with the King. Baby, Eomonie is worried, because Eomonie is alone right now... she has to save you all alone... So, please honey... please try to understand, okay?", she muttered and stroked Taehyung's hair, breathing heavily to calm herself.

She had a lot of responsibilities at that moment. She had to be strong, for her children, for her family...

"I have to go now,Tae..... The Queen has wished to see Jennie.I don't know what does she want from us;why has she come to visit us now.... But,Tae.... you have to promise me that you won't do anything like last time! You are not going to come infront of the others, alright?!",she forbade her son once again and kissed his forehead and cheeks before heading towards the storeroom's door.

A desperation surged inside Taehyung and he ran to his mother.Hugging his mother's waist tightly,he prevented her to go away.

"E-eomonie....d-don't go~",the scared boy requested meekly.

His mother sighed and tried to free herself from the grasp of those little,chubby hands.

"E-eomie please!"Taehyung whimpered but the duchess didn't even budge a little.

It was not the time for her to become weak.

"Taehyung! I said I have to go! Let me go!",she yelled at her son and stormed out of the room before shutting the door with a loud thud.

"G-good morning, Your Grace...", Jennie bowed and greeted the Queen nervously while her mother was trying to maintain her smile as much as she could.
