Everything was perfect.

That smile was not leaving her face as if she slept with a hanger in her mouth. Although Rishabh, her brother, was irritating her to the core, he can be a complete baby at times, but she did not complain. She never complained because he was her little brother. One of the few people she lived for.

For the first time in years after her parent's death, she felt secured and content because she knew he was there to protect her, her knight, and shinning amour, her Manik. She never knew that her fireflies would choose him for her, would glow for them, but they did, and Nandini could not ask for more. She was head over heels for him just as he was for her.

She was in love with him, and everything was perfect. Chachi and Chacha approved of her relationship with Manik, and so did Amms. FAB 5 was finally back together. Everybody realised their mistakes, and Manik was happy, which made her happier. Dhruv assured her that Rishabh will be fine and can be treated. Aryaman was clear and wanted to be friends. Navya's womb was getting bigger each day, and FAB 5 would have an album of their own.

She was glowing like the stars, like his stars. She could not let their little jamming session escape her head. The blush never left her face. Feeling jubilant, she was determined to let her happiness stay but somewhere, she was also afraid as everything was too perfect to be true. Maybe her solitary days filled with darkness were over, and it was time for her fireflies and his stars to glow brighter than ever.

After a lot of difficulties, Rishabh had slept. Manik and Cabir were going to pick her up. Realising that she was already late, she pushed herself out of bed to get dressed. She was eagerly looking forward to the party.

Cabir had called and told her that they were on their way. She got ready and was waiting for them. Half an hour passed by, but no one came. She tried calling both Manik and Cabir, but she heard all sorts of excuses from the call centre lady- engaged, busy, unreachable. This started to worry her. She decided to call Navya to know if there was any change in the plan. Navya asked Nandini to reach Aryaman's place as soon as she could. Nandini did not fail to notice Navya's brittle voice. She was frightened and rushed to take a cab to Aryaman's house. All this while her heart was pounding, and she knew that definitely, something was out.
