"Manik, Can you hear me? Hello....." and the line went dead. Mr Malhotra had just left the airport. He was sure that something wrong has happened to Manik. He tried calling him again, but no response. After a few more tries, Manik picked.
"Manik, son, are you alright?" Mr Malhotra asked, hoping for a positive answer.
"No, he has met with an accident, and there is one more guy. The ambulance is on its way. You should be here", The lady on the other side spoke.
Mr Malhotra went numb. He regained his calm and asked for the location, took a taxi, asked the driver to speed and reached the spot in no time.
The ambulance had not yet reached. His heart broke seeing his son in such a state. He saw the car that was now ruined and burnt, and in his brain, he thought that how can a break fail result to that. He kept his thoughts aside, and he decided to take both Manik and Cabir in the car to the hospital.
The ambulance reached immediately, and they loaded both of them in it. Mr Malhotra asked the Taxi driver to follow. He asked for the number of the ladies that helped them and left immediately.
The ambulance reached the hospital. Manik and Cabir were taken to the emergency ward. The doctor told Mr Malhotra that they have lost a lot of blood and require immediate treatment but because this was a possible accident, so they had to involve the police. Mr Malhotra assured the doctor that he will handle everything and that he should only bother about saving Manik and Cabir. He filled all the forms and was waiting.
While he was waiting, a constant thought was crossing his head that was it an accident or somebody intended to do it. He knew he had a lot of rivals, and hence he always wanted to protect his son. He chose the staying away approach, but it seemed like it did not work.
To protect his son, Mr Malhotra took a decision and made a few calls. He was satisfied with the decision. At the moment, it felt that it was the right thing to do. The doctors came and told Mr Malhotra that Cabir had got some Major Fractures and injuries but was otherwise fine, but Manik had slipped into a coma. This came as a shocker for Mr Malhotra. He asked the doctors for details and asked if Manik and Cabir could Travel in this condition. The doctor approved if they were well taken care of.
Mr Malhotra asked the doctor to keep a constant check on both of them and update him of all the progress. Mr Malhotra had a lot on his plate to handle for the moment. According to his plan, he had to fake Manik and Cabir's death, take them away from the country, provide the best medical facilities and protect them from all possible threats.
In minutes he arranged for his private jets to be made ready. He made arrangements with the hospital that no record of Manik and Cabir's arrival should be kept. He asked for the four ladies who witnessed and helped the boys to meet him as soon as possible. He met the women and made it clear to them that they should not at any cost let the world know that Manik and Cabir are alive. The ladies were happy to comply. Mr Malhotra made sure to leave something for the ladies as they were of great help.
Mr Malhotra was a very powerful man. He got the police to make up a false cover-up of the car blast, and overnight, he arranged for Manik and Cabir to be taken to another country to protect them from any further harm.
