"Cabir do you want to tell me something? " Manik asked Cabir. Manik had been noticing Cabir and Neel from the past few days and he was doubtful that something was cooking between the two.

"About what? " Cabir did not understand what Manik was referring about.

"About Neel" Manik bluntly asked.

"What, no, actually yes, actually no, oh wait I don't know" Cabir stammered

"Cabir you know that you can tell me anything "Manik kept a hand on Cabir's shoulder and lifted his face from his other hand.

"Yeah " Cabir took a breath " Yeah about Neel. I think I like him as in he is a nice guy."

"So what next? Does he like you? " Manik questioned

"Yeah he does but I don't know about what next. This time I just want to go with the flow." Manik understood what Cabir was going through. Manik also wanted to find a perfect partner for Cabir. Manik liked Neel.  He felt that he was a genuine guy.

After confirming with Cabir, Manik had a word with Neel and was happy to find out that Neel felt the same but Manik was Manik always extra protective about the people he loved.  Manik did not want to take a chance with his best friend's feeling again. He wanted to be cautious for him so he decided to test Neel. Manik did some really stupid stuff to test Neel.

It was 1 am when Cabir was sleeping peacefully and Manik made a devious plan. Manik sneaked into Cabir's room and used his phone to send a disturbing message to Neel and then he gave Neel five missed calls. Manik hurriedly rushed out of Cabir's room and waited for the fun to begin. In 20 minutes Neel was outside the apartment ringing the bell like a maniac but to no avail because our dearest Manik had switched off the main switch for the bell so no one opened the door. Neel got into Cabir's room from the window.

"Cabir" Neel saw Cabir lying on the bed and he got worried. He jumped on the bed and stated shaking Cabir and shouting his name waking Cabir from his peaceful sleep.

"Neel" Cabir woke up surprised rubbing his eyes to check if he was not hallucinating or something. Neel instantly took Cabir for a tight hug and Cabir responded.

"Neel what are you doing here at this hour?" Cabir asked worried

"You messaged me and so many missed calls. Are you alright?" Neel asked breaking the hug.

"But I didn't .." and it instantly hit him who else but Manik. Cabir slightly smiled seeing his best friend being protective for him  Cabir was the king of all pranks and Manik obviously could not have fooled him, not that he intended to but he decided to not tell Neel about it as that could make him uncomfortable. Cabir assured Neel that he was fine and it was just a misunderstanding. Cabir took Neel for a coffee date as both of their sleep was ruined.

When Cabir returned he found Manik waiting for him in his room.

"Cabir what were you doing outside the house at 3 in the morning?" Manik started profoundly teasing Cabir, taking revenge for all the times he used to mock Manik for Nandini.

"I knew it. I knew it was you" Cabir picked a pillow and aimed at Manik's head which Manik easily ducked.

"Of course, who else? If the love story does not have some twists and turns then how will the lovers know it is love" Manik winked.

"Manikkk" and with that started a Tom and Jerry fight in the middle of the night.

Manik was so happy knowing that Neel came for Cabir but he was not satisfied yet. He wanted to be sure in all aspects. He was not willing to take a single chance. He took help from Mr Malhotra to find Neel's history and found it clean.

After Manik was sure that Neel was genuinely a nice guy for Cabir, he decided to act Cupid for them. He knew that Cabir would never accept his feelings due to his past experiences but he wanted to see his friend happy again. He knew how beautiful it was to fall in love with someone and he wanted it for his best friend. On the other hand Neel was confused because of the weird things happening to him and Cabir was just laying back and having fun. Cabir knew that it was Manik's plan but poor Neel did not know.

Manik continued his pranks to bring Neel and Cabir closer. He was elated and thankful to Neel for bringing back the ever so cheerful Cabir back. Manik did not talk much to Neel except for work but he was sure that he was perfect for Cabir.
