Chapter 2

Danny's POV

I can't believe this, Y/N is actually in our group! I can't stop sweating, t-too nervous..

"Okay everyone, let us have the first group and the second group play first and so on." Our teacher said.

Dash's group went to the volleyball field with their opponent.

"You're going down Dash!" Their opponent said, i guess that guy doesn't know who he's messing with.

"Oh really? Well let's just see." I spotted Dash stared at Y/N while she stares back since she noticed Dash was staring at her, he gave a smirk with a bright wink, Y/N didn't move an inch and turned his head to somewhere else. I guess Y/N doesn't like him.

The game goes on and on, we kept waiting and waiting for our turn since we are the last group.

I see Paulina cheering on Dash, our other fellow members were just watching the game, Y/N herself was reading a book, that's pretty classy for a beautiful girl like her.

I spotted one of Y/N's closest friend Kate walking her way towards Y/N. Since I liked her, i started to know more about her social life cause I wanna be close friends with her since she looks so calm and sweet.

The two girls talked and talked till Kate gave her a small paper, what written in that short paper? Y/N seemed to read what was on the small paper and slightly pushed the paper back to Kate and started to shake her head. Kate keeps on giving her the paper but Y/N won't grab it. I wonder what's written on that small paper.

"Hey Y/N!" Dash shouted that made everyone turn to him, including Y/N.

"This is for you!" Dash stated and flew the ball to the opponent's side that made their opponents lose.

Everyone cheered as Dash gave Y/N a wink but Y/N turned her head away. Oohh Dash got busted!

"Next group will be the last group and the first group." Our teacher said and Paulina walked over to me.

"Hey Danny, i don't wanna lose this game. So don't mess up like you always do ok?!" Paulina warned me and I gave her a nod.

We started to walk to the volleyball fields and Y/N was just 3 meters away from me. I could feel myself getting sweaty all over the place.

"Start the game!"

A whistle was heard and Dash started to pass the ball. I didn't know much about volleyball so I might as well end up losing.

"Fenton! Take that ball!" Paulina shouted. I saw the ball heading towards me so i gave it to another, and that someone was Y/N, she passed the ball to the other members and took the first win.

"Alright! Let's keep this score up to the top!"

We continued to play volleyball for a pretty long time since it was always a tie, we were still fighting against Dash's team that became the reason why this match won't end, no one of us winning!

"Bros, do your best! We gotta win this match!" Dash told his other members as everyone started to go into their places.

We were already in place and the ball passed in to each one of us. It was harder this time cause the others are hitting on fast and hard.

"Now! Who will be the winner of today's workout day volleyball game?" Our teacher said with excitement as we started to pass the ball to Dash's team.

That's when the ball landed on Dash's side. The total score of us are 18 while Dash's group is also 18.

"This will be the last game! And we'll finally see which group wins!"

The game started, it was harder this time. I think Dash and his group has a secret plan about this. Y/N herself was already sweating so bad. Does she need a break? Or a water bottle or somethin? She looked so tired.

The ball started to pass faster this time and Paulina threw it over to Dash's team as Dash flew high up in the air.

"Here goes the champion!" He shouted and smacked the volleyball onto... Y/N!!

I ran to her as fast I my feet could carry me. I immediately hugged her as I felt the impact of the volleyball hit the back of my head.

"AAGHHH!!" I screamed and fell onto my knees.

"F-Fenton!"

My vision started to get blurry and the last thing I saw was Y/N so close up to me.

I woke up and saw myself in the clinic bed. What happened after the game?

"Oh good, you're finally awake." Sam stated as Tucker ran up to me and gave me a hug.

"I thought you'll die Danny! I didn't even had the chance to say goodbye." He started to fake cry as Sam slapped him to his senses.

"Tucker I'm not dead. The impact was just to painful to handle." I stated and sat to where I was sitting.

"Yeah, like how you protected Y/N from that volleyball coming towards her, that was pretty cool." Sam said.

"Dude, everyone is talking about that now! You're like the princess' hero!" Tucker shouted.

"It's just that...i don't want to see her hurt." I looked out of the window and started to daydream.

Y/N looked so calm as always and something tells me that she gives a big meaning into my life.

"If you're so interested in her, then why don't you just ask her out?" Sam asked.

"It's not that simple Sam. She dumped Dash, the school's prince, i think she will just walk right pass me if I do that. She might thinks I'm a wimp." I told her.

"A wimp? Seriously? Dude you protected her when a ball was about to hit her, she might think that you're a hero!" Tucker said.

"And she'll be surprise to know that you are a ghost her-" he added but I cutted him.

"Shut up Tucker! Even though i like her, she doesn't needs to know." I told them.

Just then, I felt the ground started to shake.

"Here we go again." Sam said annoyingly.

I stood up and walked to the window. Ghosts are everywhere.

"I'm going ghost!"
