Another day. Simon stared at her innocently. He was a bit confused of what happened last night. Wisdom wasn't angry, she was just traumatized of what happened to her.

She pulled up her phone and called her secretary. She had to be absent for a day. Being in a police operation, could be automatically excused. However, being in a hospital, deserves better explanation than the police operation.

"Eleanor, tell Uncle I have to be absent today," she said.

"Okay, copy. Thank you, Ma'am. But what about the reason?" Eleanor said, smartly.

"Tell him I am having trouble with a friend who got shot last night. Cancel all schedules if possible," she instructed.

"Roger," the secretary replied.

Wisdom sighed in disappointment. She hated being absent because of the busy office work she had to catch up. It would be a storm when she arrives.

Her facial expression curled into anger. She hated the fact that her partner was using her for his affairs only. She didn't want to get at this point.

"What do you want me to do? Hunt your goddamned team?!" She angrily asked, clenching her fists.

"No, I mean...yeah...they dumped me up in a mission. They put me in a fucking coffin of my captain," he explained.

That was why he wanted to avenge everything. He vowed everything. He had his criminal records. She knew that he would enlist again.

He wanted to get out of the hospital after five days and the doctor would not allow that to happen. The wound was still freshly stitched.

"I want to get out of this hospital," he demanded.

"No, you can't," she firmly said.

He scoffed and laid down. He watched her get breakfast from the tray. The meal was a bit simple. It was bacon and eggs. A good breakfast for a cranky man.

He sat up on the bed. He hated himself for ending up here. She tried to feed him with rice and bacon. He moved his head to the side.

She got so frustrated because of his forceful manner. He was so impatient that he wanted to heal immediately.

"If you want yourself to heal immediately, then eat and gather strength. I will help you get out of the hospital," she said.

He sighed and opened his mouth, allowing the spoon to enter his mouth. His taste was a bit wrong because he didn't want to eat.

As he chewed his food, he stared at her. His eyes roamed around his body. He wanted to kiss her, but he knew she was a siren. She looked beautifully dangerous that men who pissed her off would stay away from her.

He already did piss her off. He could see her how long her patience was, but also deadly when angry.

She was almost at the peak of losing her patience. However, Simon's cooperation calmed her down. It made her patience longer.

She sat beside him and cupped his cheek. He looked at her ashamed for what he done last night. She had to feed him a few more spoons before he could finish his breakfast.

She was gentle towards him. He dearly gazed at his eyes. She let go of her hand and was about to feed him. He held my arm gently. He stared at me firmly.

"Eat," he intently said.

At least, he was as warm as the hearth. She sighed. She felt his warmth by the words he said.

"No, you're strength is important," she insisted.

He wanted to feed her. He wanted to see her actions affect his heart. The warmth when he first met her was there.

"Give me the spoon," he commanded.

She grinned at him. That was the first grin that he experienced with her. He smiled at her. She looked so cute when she grins.

"Fine, three more spoons and the food is mine," she said.

"Deal," he said.

First game. She fed him again and again until she ate the remaining part of his breakfast. He watched as she ate her food.

She finished the last bite of the bacon and set the plate aside. She gave him a bottle of water. He opened the cap and drank the water. She swallowed the last chewed food.

She sat there in silence. That made the room silent. He reached for her face and kissed her. The kiss was so passionate.

Wisdom melted with the kiss. She cupped his cheek and he held her back drawing her close. She suddenly pulled away, making Simon confused.

"I'm so sorry," he said, looking down.

Her cheeks were so red that she looked like tomato for some reason. She now knew that the guy liked her. She loved the guy so much.

There were a lot of men who tried to win her heart, but all of them failed. She wanted him and loved him.

"I love you, Simon," she whispered.

He was shocked with the three words she said. He could not expect to be loved by a normal and understanding person.

"I love you, too," he said.
