Chapter 10: Pudding Who Has Weibo

Zuo Ning looked at the number on the scale, and then innocently looked back at Lu Chenghe who wasn’t sitting that far away. He hadn’t gotten to think about whether his own weight exceeded the healthy range when he was picked up by the veterinarian and sent back to Lu Chenghe.

Lu Chenghe very naturally reached his hand out to appease the dog by rubbing its head while his eyes looked toward Wen Ting. While putting away the messy medical instruments, he said: “18.5 jin, for a three month old Samo, this weight is a little bit heavy but still within the healthy range. Its heart rate and blood pressure are both very normal, it is a very healthy baby. In this period of time, its food intake has increased, possibly because of exercise, but there is no need to worry; it is doing very well.”

Wen Ting’s words weren’t able to push down the ridicule in his own heart. The equipment in this room was almost comparable to a professional pet hospital, even surgery wouldn’t be a problem, yet the Lu family prepared this collection of things merely to make it more convenient to give their family’s dog a physical examination every month. He was a specialist in treating the pets of the wealthy, but this was his first time seeing this kind of willfulness. Even those upper-class women who love dogs as if they were their lives weren’t like that to this degree.

Not knowing that he was being ridiculed at this time, Lu Chenghe picked up Little Pudding who was continuously pouncing onto his body and facing Doctor Wen, he nodded: “You’ve worked hard.”

Since he started raising a dog, he subconsciously started to pay attention to news about pets in his free time, the ones he looked at the most were those about cats and dogs refusing to enter the pet hospital. As a result, he thought of preparing a basic facility at home. If a little ailment could be solved at home, why should they go to the pet hospital and suffer hardships?

Obviously, his approach was correct as just now when he brought Little Pudding in, the little thing did not resist at all.

If Zuo Ning knew of Lu Chenghe’s thoughts, he would definitely roll his eyes. Even if he knew that he was going to the pet hospital, he would not reject it. Knowing he was going to get a physical examination, why would he reject it? He wasn’t a stupid dog who didn’t understand anything. Anyway, hearing that he wasn’t overweight, he was quite happy and couldn’t help but use his paws to pat Lu Chenghe’s body once: “Woof!”

You heard that right? I’m not heavy at all, there’s no need to go on a diet or lose weight!

Looking at the foolishly smiling dog’s face, Lu Chenghe reached out with his hand and scratched its chin. After seeing that it was comfortable and motionless in his arms with its eyes closed, he stood up, indicated for the steward to take care of the veterinarian, and carried Little Pudding out from the room.

Wen Ting smiled and looked toward the steward: “Mr. Lu is really fond of Little Pudding. It is very rare to see someone as concerned about their pet as Mr. Lu.”

Those well-off old ladies have nothing to do all day so they raise pets as a pastime, but when would people busy working have the free time to raise a pet and have the energy to accompany their pet? Even if they liked pets, they would have the servants at their side take care of everything, and only when they felt like it would they call their pet over to tease it. He came to the Lu home twice to examine Little Pudding, and both times, Mr. Lu personally accompanied it, this was really hard to come by.

The steward also responded with a smile: “Yes, my family’s young master is very fond of Little Pudding, so in the future, we will be troubling Doctor Wen quite a lot.” As for his family’s young master, he actually wasn’t as busy as outsiders believed, he was even more leisurely than office workers, but it wasn’t necessary to let outsiders know this.
