Chapter 14

"Why would he do this all of a sudden? Did I say something wrong? Why is that guy so confusing? Once he is sweet, soft and caring other moment he is rude,harsh and carefree"

Amyra was disturbed by Austin's behaviour. The sudden change of attitude towards her made Amyra go mad over him.

Amyra felt a phone vibrate on her couch it wasn't her phone. It was Austin's.

"Yusif " was flashing on the screen.

"Should I pick it up? No...I can't do that. Let go".

The phone stopped ringing. Amyra gave out a relief breath and picked up the phone to keep it in the drawer.

Yet again the phone started ringing.

"What if someone is calling from Austin's family. He said something was urgent and hence he had to leave. I need to answer the call. His family must be worried"

Amyra picked up the call and before she could utter a word a voice from the other end started talking.

"We are in desperate need of blood and can't find anyone.Come here right now"whispered Yusif.

"Umm...hey Yusif I'm Amyra, Austin's friend. I'm sorry but Austin has forgotten his phone at my apartment and left for...."

There was a beep sound and the line was cut.

"Weird guy. What did he mean by urgent need of blood? I wonder what has happened. Oh wait, what if...Mr. Melwyns met with an accident and needs blood as soon as possible".

"Austin has helped me so many times. Should I go there? Will I be of any help? There was a cyclone earlier no wonder if they will find a donor.".

"Chuck it...I'll just go".

"What did he say?" asked Melwyns.

"He has forgotten his phone at her place. She picked it up and I spilled it out" replied Yusif.

"How can you be so careless Yusif. I didn't expect that to come from you" whispered Melwyns.

Yusif was hurt. His anger against Amyra was boiling inside him. Melwyns was everything to him. Yusif was like a faithful dog of Melwyns and would do anything to make him happy.

"I'm sorry sir" said Yusif.

"One more mistake like this and I'll hand you over to Tiyanak" replied Melwyns angrily.

Tiyanak was the head of werewolves. Due to some unfavourable reasons Tiyanak and Melwyns had become friends, but yet Tinayak's werewolves and Melwyns vampires were against their friendship.

Yusif knew that Melwyns had bad temper. He had killed his highness earlier with the help of Tinayak and taken his position.

Melwyns had full faith over his strength and wisdom and would consider himself as undefeatable and...he was right.

It was 2 in the morning. Amyra called up Sancia. She lived just beside the hotel in a small house.

"Hey...what happened?"

"Sancia I really need your car. Can I please get it?" asked Amyra.

"Yeah sure. Come home I'll give you the keys" replied Sancia.

"Thank you Sancia. I owe you one".

"You want me to come with you?" asked Sancia.

"No it's okay. I'm good" replied Amyra.

"You sure about this? Like, its 2:30 in the morning. Its dark and going in the forest road as you said before that too alone can be dangerous" replied Sancia.

"You don't mind coming with me?" asked Amyra.

"Let me grab my shoes".

"Stop the car here. I'll get down" said Amyra.

They had reached the jungle. Now, Amyra wanted Sancia to wait outside while she cross the jungle to meet Austin. She removed her bag and scarf outside before closing the door.

"You don't want me to accompany you?" asked Sancia.

"No, wait here. Once I reach his house I assure you that he will drop me. As soon as I meet him I'll call you then you can go home. Incase, if they aren't here I'll come back to you" replied Amyra.

"Okay then. I'll wait for your call. Be safe".
