"Quiet Before The Storm"

ADRIANA'S POV

I open my eyes and look over at the alarm clock to see it's 4:44am and Ares is not beside me that's the reason I woke up I hear yelling from down stairs I quickly get up and put on his oversized t shirt he leaves for me and i carefully walk down the stairs and see the same man that harassed me at the event which is apparently his brother

They seem to be in a full bickering contest Ares never notices my presence but his creep brother does and he's staring me down he finally stops ranting and turns around looking at me

"Adriana go back upstairs" he says in a softer voice his brother groans while staring at me ares whips his head towards him but before he could say anything

"Don't you think she should stay here with us..I don't mind sharing" he says looking right in my eyes the whole time

"Apollo!-"

"She was meant to be mine anyways until you seen her you already have you're mate how greedy" he turns his attention back to ares as I take in what he just said ares's eye's turn pitch black again

"What's mine is mine and it's where it belongs-" He says inching closer to him and clenching his fist

"First of all I'm not a damn "it" and I don't belong to a soul"

"Adriana now is not the time go upstairs now!" He growls loudly and I back away from him and run upstair I hear them continue to bicker but I'm not going back to sleep I'm packing my shit I raid the closet of some of my clothes and get dressed I have a whole stash of money because I took back some of the designer clothes he bought me I lift up the mattress and pull out the brown paper bag.

I grab my things and quickly run down the stairs grabbing the keys from the magnet and run out the door I hear him running further behind me so I speed up and open the door tossing my suitcase into the back seat I shut and lock the door just in time and start the jeep he literally jumps on the hood and bangs on the windshield

"Get out the fucking car!" He yells his eye's turn that blazing red color and I know for sure I'm not getting out of this damn car

"Get the hell off the hood or I'll drive with you on it!" I scream and he chuckles

"I'll fucking kill you!" He cuts his laugh off and looks right into my eye's I move the car slightly and press on the brakes he tumbles off the hood but quickly get back on his feet

"Bitch!" He bangs and kicks on the truck as I drive away I know a place that I can go

*2 Hours later*

I stand outside of the address I was given and knock four times the door opens

"Honey?" Dedrick says with a sad face bringing me into his arms we talked on the phone and I told him everything that happened he told me I could stay with him for as long as needed

"Sorry again for dropping by like this-"

"Oh girl stop it and come in I don't have nobody over here anyways you can keep me company" He smiles warmly and pulls me into his apartment I look around and it's beautiful and huge

"Damn is everyone here rich?"

"Oh nooo honey this is my sugar daddy's apartment he left it to me since he's on vacation for his wife's 45th birthday" I can't help but to burst out laughing

"You have a sugar daddy!"

"Yasss and when him and his wife are here he puts me in a different fancy condo but I wanted to stay here and he wants me to house sit"  

"Does his wife know about you?" I ask taking a seat making myself comfortable

"Yes and no this is about the third time she's seen me he told her I was the house sitter" He wiggles his eyebrows and I snort he breaks out into a laugh also

"What about you and mister sexy man why did you really leave?" He suddenly asks

"Well...I really left not just because he yelled at me it's the constant disrespect it's like he's bipolar one minute he's happy then the next he's angry fighting and drinking" 

"Are you leaving for good?" He asks holding my hands

"I...I don't know if I want to leave or if he'd let me leave"

"Wait girl did y'all-" He narrows his eye's looking at me mischievously I feel my ears get red

"Yes more than 7 times for sure"

"Oh shit was it good!?"

"Yessss!" He chuckles and pats my knee

"Good luck honey!"

"What do you mean?" I furrow my brows

"You're ass can't stay here I mean I don't have a problem with it but by the sounds of it he ain't leaving you alone so you might have to move around he's good at finding people and will track you down like a deer"

"You right" I sigh loudly

"But of course you can stay here as long as you need until he finds you I'll give you names of places you can go if he does uhm... do you think he'd kill you?"

"I'd hope not but I don't put anything past him" I raise my brows taking a sip of water suddenly someone knocks on the door I look at dedrick and he looks at me.
