"You called, Young Master?" said the voice of a female. She was wearing black all over like an assassin. A veil covered one half of her face and only her eyes were evident.
General Li'e crossed over and whispered into her ear. Immediately understanding, she bowed.
"Understood, Young Master," she whispered as she immediately left through the window.

It was a scarring day for Lin Xiao Yu. She was treating her wounds the best way she could, but she was not given proper medication to be able to treat herself.
Black and blue bruises were scurrying up and down on her arms. She was having a hard time moving herself around and she was starving too. It as if though she were experiencing death.
She didn't notice the black-clad figure who burned out the candles and knocking her unconscious before taking her away.

"As expected, a job well done, Xing Huo. The girl's condition?"
"Ill, very ill. Injuries of bruises and open cuts and gashes littering her body. Deprived of proper nutrition and stamina. Weak physically and mentally. She was easy prey to capture. Even a rabbit could take her down," Xing Huo reported as she lugged out a girl's body before dropping her on the floor, still unconscious.
"How does Madam Li expect me to marry this peasant?" muttered Li'e.
"Actually, a maid bullied her. She must've been really deprived of proper meals for she could not fight back and almost lifeless. Her quarters are barren of anything of her status and she was not treating herself to proper medication. There was also something strange about her..."
"What's strange?"
"It seemed as if though she could not talk. I made myself quite evident to be heard to anyone yet she did not react nor seem protective of herself..."
"Mute, huh?"
