(2)Quitting

Peter Parker

Nowadays, I don't even feel like I'm apart of this team... It just feels like I don't belong here. Steve and Bucky try to cheer me up, but, once I get happy it doesn't last for too long. I was filling out a resignation form when Bucky came in the room and started walking towards me. I quickly tried to hide it but Bucky grabbed it out of my hands before I could. "What's this a love letter?"

I tried to grab it back but he was too tall. He looked at it and froze he looked down at me with a shocked face. "P-peter y-you q-quitting."

I tried to avoid his graze. "Yea." 

"Why?" I sighed "Sometimes I just feel like I don't belong here."

"Are you sure?" I nodded and he hugged me.

TIMESKIP

I walked into Pepper's office to see if she was there and she was on the phone, surrounded by dozens of appeared, but as soon as she saw me and hanged up. "Peter do you need something?" 

"Well, I thought you were the one to give this to." I held out the form and she took it and froze. "Wait you're quitting."

"Yea." I whispered while rubbing the back of my neck, an habit I couldn't get rid of no matter how hard no matter how hard I tried.

"Why?" She asked, she actually looked concerned, even with the amount of work she had. She... Cared.

"I just think it's for the best." I sighed, I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but, I feel like this is my only option.

"Fine if it's your decision, just know I'll miss you." She got up and hugged me tightly.

"I'll miss you too." I would really miss her she reminded me of my mother, not that I have many memories of, but, I would never forget her smile.

I walked out of her office and sighed then smiled "I can't believe I did it." Most people, would say I was making a big mistake, but, last time I checked it was my life.

I headed to the main elevator and walked in. "Peter which floor would you like to go to."  Friday's cheerful voice, kind of cheered me up.

"1st floor, please." I was getting my flow back... My mojo!

"Of course Peter." Elevator started moving, slowly which made me anxious.

"Peter."

"Yes." Hoping I wasn't in some kind of trouble again.

"In the system it says that you have officially quit as of today is that true." Well Pepper really works fast it's only been about 10 minutes since I've officially quit.

"Yes." I hold back my tears and bit my tongue....

"Well I will miss your presence." Friday's voice sounded sad...

"I will miss you too Friday." I really will.
