"Stan, I never thought I would end up marrying the man of my dreams." I said.

"Dude....me either."

Eddie

"Bev, thank you."

"For?" She asked, curling the last piece of her fiery red hair.

"Being there and being my best friend," I smiled.

"Of course!" She stood up and walked to me and wrapped me up in a hug.

The manager of the venue stuck his head in the door and looked at Bev and I.

"Start walking out at the second beat. Be out here ready in one minute." I nodded my head, and he left.

I made sure I had my vows in my pocket and my suit was nice and crisp.

I walked out in the doorway of the hallway and Bev started walking out. Next thing I know they were pushing me along.

The rows were filled and everyone turned to look at me entering from the side of the altar. I looked up and saw how handsome Richie looked in his suit. I smiled at lil' Brinda and her puppies in the front row.

I walked up and looked into Richie's eyes the entire time.

"We are gathered here today-" I didn't hear the next few minutes because I was so focused on Richie.

He was going to be my husband. We were going to be a family. I imagined all of it.

We would move to a nice house, adopt a kid or two, and grow old together. I can't believe all those years ago, when I was invited to his house party would have caused all of this. I don't know what I would have done without him. I love him so much.

I zoned back in just in time.

“Eddie, I knew from the very moment I laid eyes on you that you were my forever. Someway, somehow, I was determined to make you mine. And from this day forward my heart is entirely yours....

As we continue to grow in our lives together, I promise to give you all of my words when needed, and to share in the silence when they are not, to pick you up if you are down, to love you unconditionally, to lay my bare skin on you when needed most, to care for you and our families for as long as we live, to adventure with you always, to say I love you before falling asleep each night, to be the best husband and to be father I can be as we grow a family together, and to always know in the deepest part of my soul, that when challenges arise we will always find our way back to one another.

Eddie, you are my everything and this is my promise to you.”

I felt tears well up in my eyes as Richie folded his paper back up and slipped it back in his pocket. I signed and pulled mine out.

“Richie, Of all the people you’ve met on your journey and of all the places you’ve been, somehow and someway, you ended up here—with me. It is the most powerful and humbling fact that I can accept."

I felt a tear roll down my cheek and glanced up at him. He was grinning so bright. His eyes were just filled with so much love.

"I used to think that we met by chance but now I know without a doubt that the universe put you in front of me because we were meant to spend our lives together.

You have filled my life with joy and have given me a sense of peace that I have never known.

You are my best friend, my biggest supporter, and… the best date planner a guy could ask for."

He chuckled at the comment and sniffled.

"Although today marks the start to the rest of our lives, I know it will not be enough time with you.

I will not take our time together for granted. And because words cannot do it, I promise to show you, for the rest of my life, how much I love you. I promise to encourage you to follow your dreams. I promise to make you laugh when you are taking yourself too seriously. I promise to hold your hand through the good times and through the bad times. I promise to be loyal and faithful and to put you before all else. I promise to never stop making up songs for you. Although, I know you wish I would. And I promise that when we are old and grey, we will look back on our lives together and we have no regrets.

...From this day forward, you will never walk alone.”

He grabbed my hand and gave it a soft squeeze.

After a second the man started speaking again.

"Richie, do you take thee, Eddie Kasprak, to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?"

"I do."

I couldn't stop the grin that was planted on my face.

"Now Eddie, do you take thee, Richie Tozier, to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you part?"

"I d-"

The doors to the Venue slammed open and I heard an all too familiar voice run through the room.

"I object!"
