Chapter 03: In His Arms

Lydia's POV:

He caught me and looked deeply into my eyes. Our faces were only a few centimetres apart. My hands lay flat on his chest while his arms were wrapped around me. We had eye contact for a few minutes and this was the first time, the first time we had eye contact and got this close, EVER. Or even touched! I stared into his ocean blue eyes that were also looking in mine. His eyes... They're.... Oh my God... They're gorgeous...

My knees, they're getting weak... I feel something....Something unusual...Something I never get. What is this feeling? His eyes were filled with untold stories.... All sad.. I can see it, I can read through those eyes... He's been through a lot and I want to know what. But besides that, his eyes, the same colour as the ocean and sky. You could see the world in his eyes.... That's all I could stare at.. We stayed in this position and just looked at each other's eyes. I could feel Skye smirking and Karen feeling angry as shit right now but I don't really care..... All I want is to get to know him better.. Ash Kinglsey eh?

As I realized who's holding me at this very moment, my knees get very weak and I start to tremble in fear. It's Ash Kingsley for God's sake... He's the bad boy of the school, and what makes it worse is that he hates my guts.

Ash's POV:

As I was with Karen, my girlfriend(it's not real. They're only doing this because of their parents but Karen actually loves him and he doesn't know.), I saw Lydia coming over. Skylar ran and hugged her as if they didn't see each other in summer break. I don't actually hate Lydia, it's just that I have to act tough with her and act as if I do when Karen is around. Karen hates Lydia and I don't know why. There's literally nothing wrong with her.

After they hugged, Lydia caught me staring at her and I smiled at her when we made eye contact. She smiled back. As soon as Skye felt like she was zoning out, she turned around and so when I saw her turning around I randomly kissed Karen. I think she still caught me... Oh God.

Anyhow, Skye called me and told me to go there. And when I got to where they were, Skylar whispered, "I see the way you look at her, that's not real hate." And then she pushed Lydia towards me. As she fell, I caught her.

Her hands laid down on my chest and I wrapped my arms around her. She looked at me and our eyes met. I've never really looked at her eyes but damn...They're extraordinarily beautiful.... Just like her... Wait what am I saying?! I... I can't possibly.. No. No. I'm just having eye contact with possibly the most beautiful girl on the planet. Oh my God Ash get out of it...

She has big beautiful light blue eyes. Her eyes weren't a normal light blue. They were almost silver actually and you could see them twinkle like stars. They're different and I like it, a lot. I stared deeply into her eyes as she did to mine and I see sadness and pain in them. Wait sadness? Pain? Wh-what happened to her..? Well, besides Karen, what happened to her..? I don't want her to feel this way.. She's trembling like she's scared and I don't know why.

Her knees start to get weak and I could feel her falling out of my grip so I held her even tighter, not too tight to the point she can't breathe but just enough so that she wouldn't fall. I can't get my mind and eyes off of her eyes. They told everlasting painful stories. I want to be the one to fix that. I don't like how she trembles in my arms knowing I'm the bad boy of the school, thinking that I hate her. I want her to know that I'm here for her and that I care. Lydia Archer, I'm going to show you who I really am and protect you at all costs.

The school bell started to ring and I took a step back away from Ash's grip on me. I just smiled and said, "Thank you." And we walked to class.

There wasn't really anything new in the first class so I'll skip that. When I went to my locker to grab some of my things, I see a note. The note says, "Meet me in mine later alright? :) ~Ash" ... I.. Don't know what to think? Those blue eyes are all that I could think about at the moment so I decide that I actually will go.

Before I left(Skylar and Ash are already almost home by this time but I decided to stay and read a bit, little did I know, Karen would be waiting for me), Karen came up to me and slapped my face.

"You slut! You think that you can steal MY boyfriend?" Said Karen. I tried to deny it but she cut me off. I truly didn't want to steal Ash though... It's not like I purposely fell on him either. Ugh bitch.

"Hah! Well you can't because he belongs to me. And only, me. His heart is mine and it will be forever. My heart is also his. We're meant to be together, nobody can change that, especially you. You're just--"

"A rat, I know." I cut her off and answered back.

"No interruptions, but yes a rat and a slut I mean, that's why he doesn't like you even if your best friend is his sister. You're not attractive like me, not smart like me, not talented like me. You're not. Like. Me. So you already lost your chance, slut."

And then she went home. Or should I say to fucking Ryan's house to fuck. Cheating whore. And so I'm the slut eh? Whatever. I better get going anyway, Ash is waiting for me... Those ocean blue eyes....

AT ASH AND SKYLAR'S HOUSE

When I got there, I called Skylar and told her I was here. She opened the door and let me in. Skye was actually really confused on why I was there when we didn't plan on meeting each other, even with that, she was happy I was here.

"Aaaaaassshhhh!!!" Skylar said. He shouted and asked in return, "Is she here????" And Skylar was a bit confused. She was wondering if he really did invite me there.

"I-I mean what????" Ash corrected himself as he walked down the stairs.

Skylar waiting for him just below it asked, "So YOU invited her over eh???" Giving him a wink.

"N-n-not for that!! Skylar!!" He said panicked. "Yeah yeah I know, I was just teasing you." She said while chuckling.

I just continue to giggle as quietly as possible at how they converse with each other about it. Ash seems scared as hell and panicked because he knows how much Skylar would love it if she found out that he likes me(though he does not). And Skylar was looking at him with those sparkly eyes saying, "Ashhhhhhh" and winking.

I wasn't really paying attention to how they looked like at the moment, I was just reading a book. That was until I did turn to look at them and noticed that Skye was wearing her regular shorts and shirt that she wears when she sleeps over but then... I saw Ash.
