Chapter 3: Liam

Liam's POV

"Really? Cosmos has Trickstar? I am excited to transfer there now,"

"It is only a rumor. It is not yet proven if he is the Trickstar or not. Either way, he is the first in solo ranking so I think he is still good,"

"That is only in Solo Ranking but he switched to Team Divisions? From only player to a group of five? That is kind of hard to adjust since he may be used to trusting himself only,"

"But if he is trickstar, then Cosmos has a good weapon for the next season of Night Raid right?"

Why are they talking about Trickstar?

Trickstar is also known as Zero. And Zero is one of the best players in Night Raid. He earned the nick name Trickstar since he won in a battle of 2v8 using his tricks. It is written in Night Raid history. One of the Legendary moves, that is why he is in the Hall of Fame.

The other guy that helped him didn't have the chance to be known in public. He disappeared when Zero earned the spotlight.  But Zero changed into Solo playing because of that treacherous event.

I am Liam. I am a fashionist and Night Raid Geek. I am once a Raider of our school but I quit. Don't underestimate me though. I am a very good spy.

Once I watch how you play, beware of the team I belong.

The reason I quit? My co-raiders are toxic. Seniors put too much pressure on their juniors. And juniors like me can't do anything because they are the so called superiors.

But I need to know about this rumor. If Zero really studies in a school, then there is a big chance that he can play Night Raid. And I will team up with him to learn his tricks.

As I am saying, I am a geek. I don't have interest in Night Raid before, someone made me. He is the one who discovered my talents in spying.

And that is Zero.

He is not my teammate and I never been a part of Team Dino. It just happened that we are childhood friends and we haven't talk at each other for years.

I went to my classmates and asked about the rumor.

"What are you guys gossiping about?" I asked.

"Liam, the Trickstar is rumored to be in the Cosmos High School. It is only a rumor that is why many are now having problems if they are going to Cosmos High School or Starlight High School," Zina, my classmate told me.

"Where did you get this news from?" I questionned.

"Do you know Yani? A Raider from female's Team Division? You know from Capricorn Junior High? She announced she is going to transfer there. She said that one of the reasons is to confirm if the Trickstar is there or not. Even if Trickstar isn't there, she would still go there with Ace to beat the Starlight High School," Hera explained.

"This is too much information, anyway, thanks!" I said and went to my dorm.

Ace is there! Oh my ghad! My long time crush is there! But I hadn't played Night Raid for years!

It means that I would need to go under the Entrance Examination. But Cosmos High School has too much high standards when it comes to academics.

What should I do?

Maybe I need to go home first and tell my mom that I have already decided where High School to study for my whole High School years.

"Mom! I am home!" I said.

"Hello my dear!" my mom greeted me, "Someone was looking for you,"

"Who?" I asked.

"I don't know but he left me this letter," she replied.

I read the letter that my mom gave me.

Hello there!

Do you still remember me? The guy that you bought noodles the other time? I am sorry that I can't pay my debt. But I have found a way to pay it!

I already recommended you to Cosmos High School. The sport is Night Raid. I just saw your profile that you were once a Raider so that is where I get the idea.

You will still worry about the try outs but atleast you wouldn't need to undergo entrance examinations. Just go to the registrar's office and tell them your name.

If you prefer Starlight High School, I am sorry that I can't recommend you there. I have no connections there that's why.

What a coincidence. I am planning to go to Cosmos High School. I was even worried about the entrance examination!

Thanks noodle man. This is more than the money I lend you the other day.

"Why are you smiling?" my mother questionned.

"Mom! I've got a recommendation at Cosmos High School! I will just try their try out and I will study there! You wouldn't bother where school I am going now," I told my mom the good news.

"That's better! Cosmos High School has the best academic learnings. Go and eat this food. You need to do your best okay?" my mom said.

"Thanks mom," I replied and ate the food that she prepared for me.
