A week later

I walked out of the hospital, totally exhausted. I had to attend three back to back surgeries in a day and it was really tiring. I looked around for Manik's car but I didn't see his car. I looked at my phone only to see his message.

"I am sorry Nandini. I won't be able to pick you for a few days. I have to attend an urgent business meeting and I won't be in the country for few days. Take care. Don't overwork. Sleep and eat well. Miss me and don't you dare meet up with other men ;)"

I couldn't help but smile like an idiot. My green eyed monster.

"Wow Nandini what's with that goofy smile on your face?" I heard Aryaman and I raised my head to look at him.

"Why? Am I not allowed to smile?" I said with the constant smile playing on my lips.

"Who said you aren't allowed? But I am just curious what made you smile so brightly."

"Someone's message." I said.

"Let me guess, it's your weird husband's message." He said as he wrapped his arms around my shoulder and I swatted his hand away. "He isn't weird. Okay?" I contradicted.

"But a week ago you were the one to admit that he is weird." He chuckled and I just rolled my eyes.

"Only I can call him weird." I mumbled under my breath, crossing my hands around my chest.

"He was so jealous when he saw you with me last time. But I must admit he cares a lot about you. You are lucky to have him." He raised his hand, probably to ruffle my hair but I slapped his hand away.

"Don't you dare." I warned him but he still didn't listen. He ruffled my hair, messing it. I glared at him angrily as I roughly ran my hands through my hair, combing it.

"Okay. Okay. I am sorry." He apologized with his sweetest smile.

"Okay. I will accept your apology but only in one condition." I said with a poker face.

"What condition?"

"You have to drop me home today."

"That's a piece of cake. It's my pleasure to drop you home your highness." He dramatically bowed his head down slightly and taking the advantage I hit him on his head. "And that's for messing with my hair."

He rubbed his head slightly and made a fake sad face. I walked past him and that was my biggest mistake. He pulled my cheeks from behind me.

"Ahhh Aryaa." I struggled to get his hand off me but he pulled my cheeks even more harder. When he finally let go I hit him on his stomach with my elbow. This idiot.

"Ow." He acted as if he had been severely hurt and I hit him yet again. "You idiot."

I walked away and I waited for him to follow me but he was still busy pretending. I turned to look at him. "If you are done with your acting drop me home." I said.

"You are so mean." He said before leading me to his car.

I was just done putting on my seat belt and right then my phone buzzed. I checked my phone only to smile seeing his message.

"I am already missing you."
6:30 pm

"But I am not ;p"
6:30 pm

"So mean. BTW what are you doing?"
6:30 pm

I looked at Aryaman who had been busy searching for his car keys and an idea popped in my head. Mr. Monster Malhotra let me make you a little bit jealous.

6:31 pm

I sent a picture of me and Aryaman to Manik as I smiled mischievously. Right then my phone rang and it showed the name Monster ❤. An expected call.

"He is so cute." I grinned before picking it up.

"What are you doing there with Aryaman?" His voice boomed through my phone speaker and trust me it took all my willpower to not giggle.

"Did I just hear my name?" Aryaman looked at me, suddenly interested in who I was talking to.

"What am I doing? Nothing." I said ever so innocently.

"I just heard his voice. Tell me what you two are doing?" I could clearly figure out he had been clenching his jaws. My green eyed monster.

"We-" I couldn't even complete as Aryaman shouted. "We are doing something that you shouldn't know."

I looked at Aryaman, shocked.

"You just stay away from her. Okay." His voice boomed through my phone speaker and I had to distance my phone from my ears.

"Not okay." Aryaman too shouted and I couldn't help but burst out into laughter.

"Why are you laughing? There's nothing to laugh about." I heard Manik's voice from the other side and I knew he had been huffing in anger. I wish I could see him and his expression. I miss him.

"My dear green eyed monster I miss you." I said and the other side suddenly fell silent.

"I miss you too." His voice reached my ears moments later and I couldn't help but smile.

"So much PDA. I can't handle this." Aryaman said dramatically.

"Then just go away. Don't eavesdrop." Manik again shouted, making me giggle.

"I am not eavesdropping. Your wife is sitting in my car and I am just giving her a lift. You should thank me." Aryaman said it out loud for him to hear.

"Nandini from tomorrow don't dare to step in that idiot's car. I will send someone to pick you up." He said from the other side and I could see Aryaman rolling his eyes.

"Sir everything is prepared for the meeting." I heard someone else voice, probably his secretary. I envy that secretary right now. At least she can be with him right now. I pouted.

"I have to go right now. I will call you later."

"Okay." I sighed.

"And stay away from that idiot." He warned before hanging up the call.

My green eyed monster just come back home and I will compensate for everything.
