"An idiot like me knows why to sing to a person who doesn't belong to me anymore."

I tried hard to forget him as much as possible and no matter what happened it just doesn't leave as soon as I think.

"you okay?"

someone asked me while I was crying out loud. It was him, Mr. Prince.

"I ... um I am alright. Just the unwanted sicko feeling I usually have when I miss my family." I had to lie as I didn't want him to know I was heartbroken.

"Your song didn't seem like you are missing your family. I heard you singing and wasn't able to understand the meaning but it was ..."

Wow, I never heard him praising anyone so far. I smiled at his remark.'

"Really, was it that nice?"

"I mean... the voice was too loud for a girl to sing and it kind of sounded like a hornbill. u know."

i shouldn't have expected a good compliment from him. I know I don't sound as good as Taylor Swift or Katy Perry. He needed to get some sense into his head

"Do you ever know how it feels to be heartbroken that your voice doesn't even matter how it sounds and guess what you don't have it at all... You got something to say fine say it now 🙄. Guess being nice to you isn't necessary always."

3 days later:
It was 6.30 in the morning. The perfect time I get a good sleep but somewhere in the palace-
"Arthur you dimwit where are you?"

Who's screaming at this point of time?? I don't know whats wrong but as long as I am here, I must not interfere in their matters... But my sleep is completely disturbed...

I don't know what was going on in the downstairs, so I was doing my usual sorting out stuff and realized the catalogue I gave to the prince was still in his room and I didn't take it from him... Well let's take it from the room after breakfast.

I could see the worry in the faces of Ryan and the Duchess Jade. They seemed tensed about something...
"Milady... You seem upset about something... Is everything fine??"

"Yea nothing to worry about .... Just the usual wedding tension what every bride has... Relax." Duchess was stuttering. There was something fishy and I knew it from their faces...

"Ursula I need to talk to you about the wedding dress. At 9 ". Duchess didn't finish her breakfast and just left the dining table and so is Ryan.

Ursula went to take in the design catalogue.

Before situation goes out of hand, I wanted to know if they are alright... Something says it's weird them behaving this way and Ophelia is nowhere to be seen.

An:"Ryan!"
R: Anna. Hey
A: uhmm is everything alright?
R: yea why do you ask?
A:  I mean you and Duchess were tensed about something and I know I  shouldn't involve in your family matters but you are my friend... If something is upsetting you, you can share with me. I am worried about you guys.

R: it's alright and dont worry we are fine ...  Keep this a secret, not even  the staffs know. Yesterday night there was an intruder in the castle and he tried attacking us... Don't know who it was

A: Oh god... Are you guys okay? Any injuries.

R: Hey we are fine... Don't worry 🌸. Now if you excuse me, I'll be right back...you needn't be scared of these... You're our guest and it is our responsibility to safeguard you people...

A: That's so kind of you, don't worry in case you need assistance in kicking their asses, you can count on me... After all I saved 67 people from terrorists.

R: you're funny, well I'll see you later.

Thank goodness they are fine... Now I need to get the catalogue from his room and must not make any delay or mess this time...

(Knock Knock)
" Come in"

God bless he's in a fine mood now... I must appear polite as he would be worried about the attack .

" I am sorry for disturbing you this early part of the day, but I think I forgot to collect the catalogue,I gave you. I'll take it and leave."

I don't know if he was listening to what I said...
" Fine take it."

That's weird... Well he's tensed about the attack so no further questions.

The catalogue was in the sofa and he filled all the necessary details and made my work easy.

I took the catalogue but eyes fell on something else-
" Why are you wearing an eye patch?"
He looked indifferent ...
"Well I am auditioning for a pirate role in the upcoming movie."

That's a real lie. Who is he kidding? Damn I know he is hiding something from me.

" Something is fishy... Let me see what's under that patch."

He tried to avoid me. " What do u think you are doing.. it's my eye which you saw already "

I took away that eye patch from his eye only to find-

"Omg what happened to your eye😶.."

It was a damn black eye and he was hiding it from all. Maybe they knew but they didn't say anything.

"How did this happen? And why are you hiding it...did you apply ice and ..."

How can someone be calm after getting a black eye... Without further ado I decided to help him
" It's okay you can leave ..." He tried sending me away and possibly that didn't happen
".... And see you groaning and snapping at every other staff out here.... Now you listen to me... Sit here and I'll get the ice bag and don't apply any antibiotics... "

I went to the kitchen and took some ice cubes and the ice bag which I had with myself in case anything worse happens ... Thanks to my instinctive brain which knew what to be taken at what time. After taking what's necessary , I went to the room.

I sat beside him and took the ice cubes and wrapped in a cloth and kept in his eye...

" Ouch 😫... It's paining" he hissed in pain
" Of course it does... It's a freaking black eye and be calm, everything is gonna be fine until you don't think about it."

" you know I can take care of myself. I don't need any assistance." He tried sounding authoritative but I didn't listen to any of his words.

" And let yourself suffer in pain... I did as a part time nurse in a hospital and I know when patients talk some useless stuff like you jus said, we put them to bed and right now you need to rest up".... Talking to a child feels way easier than talking to him ...

Ph: "Why are you doing this? I mean I have insulted you many times but now you are nursing me."

An: Cos I believe every human has a kind heart inside him or her. 🙂
Talk about the injury... How did it happen ?

Ph:. I was checking out the financial documents and I heard a sound from the backyard, someone who tried entering the building. And then those were some thieves, I went and stopped them but they were too strong which.....

An: ... Ended up in a black eye. I am sorry what happened to you, but you need to get escorts in such cases.
That's more than enough for now.... Keep this Ice bag and put it over the eye frequently and soon you'll be back to normal.

I guess I should take my exit now... Don't stress much and relax.

My sister always says you are how you behave to people.... I've never been nice to his Highness before and it always used to annoy me... But I could feel the difference today.... I nursed him pretty good and spoke well , I feel good . Maybe that's why they say be careful with your words... They reflect your actions....

And all the wedding stuffs have arrived and all I need to do is sort out things
