Baekhyun had walked towards me and flung me over his shoulder

Baekhyun had walked towards me and flung me over his shoulder. He placed me on a log so I had a front row seat for what was about to happen.
I didn't want it.

"Jongin! Get up and face me!"
Jongin stumbles up holding his stomach, he had obviously been affected by the harsh throw Baekhyun had completed with ease.
"I can't help how I feel, Baekhyun. If I could, I would."
"Don't give me that 'it was mutual'. You were practically forcing yourself on my wife through a bargain." I looked up at him. He had heard the whole conversation exchanged.
Baekhyun turned to face me.
"I heard everything, since I followed you the moment you left the house. I knew would get lost or hurt. And this idiot...
At the moment cannot be trusted with you. I trust him with my life, but yours?...
I would trust no one, except myself, with you Penelope to be perfectly honest."
I didn't know what to do at that moment, as Baekhyun walked towards Jongin.

"Baekhyun, stop!" I cried and grabbed onto his arm and sank to the floor in hysterics.
I knew what he would do.
Beat him to a pulp and Jongin wouldn't be able to do anything because hitting the boss, even in a way of defence was not allowed. That wasn't a rule by Baekhyun but by his grandfather, that had stayed.
"Penelope, let me go. This is the punishment for what he has done. What would you rather?
Kyungsoo torture him to his wits end, or me give him a fair beating? Well, answer?" He spoke every word with so much ease and was so calm with each statement and question.
I composed myself and stood up. I would defend him.

"I may not be stronger than you. But I will persuade you for one more chance. One more.
That's all he needs and... then this obsession will end. Please."
He scoffed at me and walked further towards me, in which my response was to not move a muscle.

"Don't make bargains. It won't work. Negotiation is not an option for Jongin. So I will ask you once... move yourself."
I stood my ground.
"Please stop this Penelope."
Jongin said as a plea for me to just let him get beaten rather than cause trouble.

"Shut up! Both of you!"
I shouted, I couldn't stand the talking. I needed to think.
Through the quiet, we heard a twig snap. All heads turned to face the noise. There stood BamBam, all dressed up
in camouflage.

With a gun pointed at us all.
I looked around and Jongin had disappeared from my sight.
Baekhyun has already whipped his gun out, and I was in the middle of both.
"Penelope, move this instant."
My husband said, trying so save me from either shot.
"No, don't." The opposition said. "Stay. Right. Where you are." He stepped forward with each pause of words.

"I like this Baekhyun. Your wife in the centre of both our shots.
If she moves I shoot her, if she doesn't then you can't shoot me. I win either way."

"Wrong."

Jongin appeared behind him and stabbed BamBam viciously through the chest with a sharp piece of wood. I fell to the floor at the scene, it was horrific.

Baekhyun put his hands over my eyes and pulled me to him.
He pulled his hands away
and he looked at me so apologetically.
"Focus on me, my love. Nothing else, just my face."
'That's easy, how could I look at anything else?' I thought trying to forget. I looked over without really meaning to and saw Jongin collapsed on the floor.
BamBam body next to his.
I looked to Baekhyun, who stood from me and walked to his best friend. He leant down and pulled Jongin into hug.

"Let this be known, that this is your final chance to prove yourself better alive to me."
Jongin couldn't help but hug back, and they stayed in that brotherly hug. I was relieved, that at last we had resolved a traitor and a friendship at the same time. Baekhyun pulled up his phone and called someone.

"Sehun, come get us out of here. And the body."
"Yes BamBam, how did you know?"
"I see. Well, get Lay ready. Jongin will need some treatment, and bring a bottle of whiskey. I feel bloody knackered from all this arguing. And hurry up!"
I laughed at his want for alcohol. Although we all came out of it alive, I can't help but feel that it was my fault this happened.
"Penelope, I'm proud of you."

"Excuse me."

"You stood up to me. No one else has done that before.
You're braver than you think.
I mean even though we're married, we both know who wears the trouser in the relationship. Maybe we should rethink who bosses around who." I giggled a little.

"What the bloody hell happened?" Sehun said, with Minseok by his side.

"Little argument... followed by a larger one. Clean this mess up Minseok. Sehun take Jongin back to the house for some treatment. At least paracetamol anyway. Maybe a drink."

"Here." Minseok threw a bottle of whiskey to Baekhyun who caught it. I hate it when he drank to be honest but it got to the point when I stopped trying to get him to give it up.
"I know you hate it, yes."
I looked up at him with wide eyes. 'Please, just not now.'
He rolled his eyes and threw the bottle into a tree.

"Happy?" I smiled widely and he lifted me up easily.

"You know, it annoys me how easily you break my barriers."
"Well, I've grown a talent for it. Haven't I?"
"Yes, like that time you persuaded me to teach you how to dance and you ended up spraining your ankle. I should've known how clumsy you'd be with that sort of thing. What a tragedy."
I laughed.

"Well, you're a bad teacher."

"Excuse me."

"You heard me."

"You're gonna regret saying that."
