Zander's POV
My sister and I did what my dad told us to do, going into the cellar looking around every corner we could just to see if there any sign that my mom could've gone there or somewhat was seen down here. We moved the old furniture around, threw boxes everywhere. We even checked for possible hidden rooms but there wasn't any.
"Shit" I hissed as I clenched my fist " She's not down here" I said clenching my jaw and teeth doing my best not to cry.
"Zander....just think for a minute, we'll find her..we have to" Veronica said looking at me dead in the eye, I couldn't worry but I could see she was serious. I had to do my best to even maintain my own sanity.
We both eventually came to terms that she wasn't down here. We looked at each other. I could see my sisters eyes watering as I could feel mine fill up with tears. I already lost my real father once and now I could feel like I'm losing my mother and it just didn't feel real to me. I kept telling myself this was all some nightmare that I'd wake up from. I kept telling myself everything would be alright. We rushed back upstairs and saw that Brent and Sonia were still looking everywhere but they eventually gave us a look telling us there was so sign of her. We all came to terms that my mom wasn't in the house.
"Dad is taking long in the garage" my sister said as she backed away turning around rushing outside. I was about to get to her but the door had already slammed shut. I stood there as I looked at Brent and Sonia giving them a scared and worried look.
"Somethings not right" I said as I shook my head becoming dizzy but still keeping my head up
"You guys need to leave" Sonia said as she approached me
"How? My mother is gone?! I don't know and my sister just ran off to check on my dad and I'm not even sure he'll leave because she's not with him" I said
"I get it. But you have to protect Veronica and your dad...what do you want?" She asked as she gave me direct contact
I looked down for a bit looking back up to see Brent just giving me a sorrow look of sympathy. I wasn't sure what was going to happen to any of us...I wasn't sure I'd see my mom again.
.......
Veronica's POV
I ran outside not caring if my brother came after me or not, my dad was taking so long I wasn't sure if he was going ballistic inside the garage or crying out of fear of never seeing my mother again. I just through the garage door as I see my dad looking around like a mad man.
"Dad" I said but he didn't listen, he was looking in the other side of the garage and looking under places "dad!" I shouted louder this time before he actually looked at me
"Yes" He said as he finally turned to look at me
"Is she here?" I asked as I began looking around
"No...Damnit I've looked everywhere, I don't see your mother" he said as she turned his back to me
It scared me. I've never seen him like that, I wanted to believe that my mom was playing some kind of fucked up joke on us but she wouldn't put us through something like that, I wanted to think she was somewhere in the house but I was coming to terms that she wasn't in the house or in the garage. It was silent for a second before his head shot to the opposite direction of me still back facing to me. He was looking at nothing, zoning out maybe. My dad was walking around when he stopped dead in his tracks. He stood there looking at the ground. Then I saw it. A door, stood there looking surprised yet still scared.
